Fresh air always makes a good day even better at TLC! ☀️🧡

Spending time outdoors is an important part of our days at TLC. Whether our members are shooting hoops, working on a puzzle, playing games or simply spending time with friends, getting outside gives them another space to stay active, engaged and connected.

Along with our structured programming and hands-on learning, these moments give our members opportunities to move, make choices, build friendships and enjoy a change of scenery throughout their day.

We’re growing more than just a garden at TLC! 🌱

A few weeks ago, our members got to work planting our raised garden beds through our partnership with FANS, Marion County Hospital District and UF. This is always such a fun, hands-on way for our members to get outside while building responsibility, teamwork, patience and confidence.

As the garden grows, they’ll continue helping care for it, harvest what they’ve grown and use the produce in future cooking and nutrition activities here at TLC. We love seeing one activity connect to so many different skills. 🧡💛

We were honored to be the Nonprofit Spotlight at this morning’s Belleview Chamber and Economic Partnership Breakfast! 🧡

A huge thank you to Advanced Welding for generously donating their spotlight time to TLC and for their continued support as the series sponsor. Opportunities like this give us the chance to share more about who we are, who we serve and the impact TLC is making for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the local Marion County community.

We were also excited to have Anna with BB Graphics and The WrapPros Graphics there this morning! Anna serves on TLC’s Board of Directors, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support she and her team continue to show TLC and our mission.

Thank you to the Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership for creating opportunities like this to bring local businesses and organizations together and strengthen our community. 🧡

🎉 WE DID IT, THANKS TO YOU! 🎉

Because of the incredible generosity and support of our community, TLC has officially surpassed our $125,000 fundraising goal, raising OVER $150,000! 🧡💛

This year’s Give4Marion campaign was filled with so many moments that made it special, from our Coffee Cart and kickoff parties to our generous sponsors and the individuals, families, businesses, and friends who shared, donated, and rallied behind TLC.

And most importantly, every dollar raised helps us continue creating opportunities for our Members to:

➡️ Develop vocational and life skills
➡️ Strengthen social skills and friendships
