I’m doing some writing this morning…
For the love of all things life, love, and sacred, can we stop pathologizing adaptations? What would happen if we started honoring and celebrating the intelligence of our adaptations? (Actually, I have answers to that)
I have been a human my whole life. I have all the credentials to back it up. I have been humaning, adapting, therapying, therapisting, witnessing.
I have gone to all the crevices, folds, black holes, and in between. And I’ve been on the journey of no problems to solve.
If you point out that I have a block, here are some of the responses I might be feeling:
“Duh.”
“I know, isn’t she wise?”
“I don’t see a problem here.”
“Thank you for witnessing. And thank you for stopping by.”
This being developed a banana peel as an adaptation. How do you feel towards this banana peel? I bet there’s a part of you that wants to move the banana peel. But, you probably can’t see the walnut that the banana peel is protecting.
So what if we just love the banana peel? We stay in awe of the fact that this banana peel showed up on a metal sphere. How in the world did that happen?! And we just continue to be with it, witness, and not ask it to go away. And eventually the banana peel falls away. The system starts to feel it can be in all of it’s metalness and spaciousness. The banana peel falls away, the walnut disappears. In all the spaciousness, the different materials are absorbed into beingness.
I am for sure coming out with a book of new verbs.
