What if ease wasn't something you had to create?

What if it was something you could return to?

Over the past few weeks, I've been reflecting on the hidden cost of trying to optimize everything and the importance of creating pockets of ease in our days.

This week, I'm exploring the idea that ease is not a faraway destination. It is a place within us that we can return to.

In my latest newsletter, I'm sharing a new guided Yoga Nidra practice, details about my upcoming Full Bloom women's retreat, and reflections on creating more space for what matters most.

What helps you return to yourself?

Summer doesn't have to mean a two-week vacation.

Sometimes it looks like:

☀️ A walk after dinner

☀️ A swim at the local pool

☀️ A picnic in the park

☀️ An evening on the porch

☀️ A small adventure close to home

In this week's featured resource, I share simple ways to enjoy summer while working full-time.

Small moments can have a big impact.

What is one thing you're looking forward to this summer?

The cost of trying to optimize everything is often your nervous system.

Recently, a friend told me she took a day off to do something fun.

Instead of feeling restored, she felt anxious.

Now she had to catch up.

Now she was behind.

Many of us know that feeling.

When we're constantly moving, achieving, and managing, the body can forget how to downshift.

This week's podcast and blog explore why slowing down can feel uncomfortable—and why pockets of ease matter.

What would it be like to have just a little more ease this summer?

Many of us are tired of feeling like every moment needs to be productive.

We're juggling work, family, relationships, health, community commitments, and all the responsibilities that come with a full life.

But perhaps there are small pockets of ease available to us throughout the day.

A few moments to pause.

Take a breath.

Look at the sky.

Smell the flowers.

Rest.

This week's newsletter explores the hidden cost of trying to optimize everything—and why ease may be more important than we realize.

As we move into summer, I wanted to re-share a guided Yoga Nidra meditation I created last year:

A spacious pause for reflection, restoration, and reconnecting with what matters most.

Perfect for:

Hey, it's almost the weekend!

Did you know that you do not need a big vacation to experience summer.

One of my favorite ideas is the idea of a “microadventure” — small, simple adventures close to home that reconnect us to movement, nature, perspective, and delight.

An evening walk somewhere new.
A picnic at the lake.
A sunset hike.
Swimming in a nearby river.
Exploring a neighborhood by bike.
Watching the stars from your backyard.

Small experiences can shift how we feel in meaningful ways.

Especially in full seasons of life, joy often comes less from elaborate plans and more from allowing ourselves to participate in the season we’re actually living in.

I wrote a short reflection this week on microadventures, summer nourishment, and reconnecting with what helps us feel alive.

Summer wellness ≠ another project.

This past month, I have been writing about self-stewardship.

As we move toward summer, I find myself thinking:

What are we stewarding ourselves toward?

Not just away from depletion or burnout…

But toward aliveness.
Toward delight.
Toward beauty, vitality, rest, connection, and joy.

Look around and you'll see that the natural world is full of momentum right now.

Growth, warmth, movement, color, life force.

Summer can be an invitation for us to reconnect with the energy of "aliveness" within ourselves and around us.

Not by optimizing every moment.
Not by trying to “do summer well.”

But by making space for what actually nourishes and delights us.

This could be...
A walk in the evening.
A swim.
A picnic.
A conversation with someone you love.
Time in the garden.
A small adventure close to home.

This week’s newsletter explores joyful momentum, summer nourishment, and practices that help reconnect us our aliveness.

What makes you feel most alive this time of year?

What if sustainable habits began not with discipline — but with self-stewardship?

In my most recent podcast and blog, I explore a different way to think about habits, wellbeing, and change.

Not through pressure.
Not through self-criticism.
Not through pushing harder.

But through learning to tend to ourselves with greater awareness and care.

Self-stewardship asks:

What supports me right now?
What replenishes me?
What helps me sustain the life I’m actually living?

Especially in midlife, many women have spent years tending to everyone and everything around them.

At some point, the invitation shifts.

To begin turning some of that care inward.

This week’s reflections explore:
• sustainable habits
• nervous system support
• working with what’s available
• rest and replenishment
• caring for ourselves more honestly and sustainably
