This Nükk PNW Classic was handcrafted to Trumpkin specs. It has an 8’x8’x8’ hot room with mechanical ventilation, two levels of L-benches, double wall insulation, a Starlight package, and a Yakisugi finish. Unlike typical kit or barrel saunas, this is stick framed, built like a tank, and will last for generations.

The Nükk Revolution

The Revolution is an engineering wonder inspired by design principles used at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. It’s a proprietary modular sauna that 2-3 handyfolks can assemble in a day. It packs flat, and all the pieces can be carried by two people, so you can put it just about anywhere!

It comfortably seats 4 to 5 people, and the exterior can be finished to match your home.

Sauna Benefits Minute by Minute

Minutes 1-3
Heart Rate begins to rise, similar to light exercise.

Minutes 4-7
Circulation to your skin and muscles begins to increase. Glucose uptake increases.

Minutes 8-12
Mitochondrial biogenesis is stimulated. Heat shock proteins begin to trigger your bodies repair pathways. Growth hormone increases up to 5X.

Minutes 13-16
Inflammation markers start to drop. Insulin sensitivity improves and your body begins to use glucose more effectively.

Minutes 17-20
Your body enters into an elevated state, where your metabolic rate is raised, it continues to burn calories even after you exit the sauna.

🌍 Earth Day is a reminder that nature deserves our reverence—and that the most extraordinary materials aren’t invented, they’re understood.

At Nükk, we’re especially grateful for Thuja plicata—Western Red Cedar.

This remarkable tree evolved over time to handle moisture, heat, and exposure—without added chemistry or heavy processing.

• Naturally occurring compounds like thujaplicins and cedrol help protect the wood from bacteria, fungi, and insects

Long before modern construction, this was understood.

For Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest—the Coast Salish, Haida, Tlingit, and many others—Western Red Cedar is known as the Tree of Life.

It provided shelter, tools, medicine, and materials for ceremony. It was used to build homes, carve canoes, and create objects of deep cultural meaning.

Cedar wasn’t taken casually. It was harvested with care, intention, and gratitude—recognizing the relationship between people and the natural world.

In our own way, we try to carry that forward—working with local, small mills that respect the material and the land it comes from. It’s not the same tradition, but it’s a step toward honoring it.

To build with a material like Western Red Cedar is to rely less on synthetic solutions and more on what already exists. It’s a small way of staying aligned with something older and wiser than us.

This beautiful Nükk Bespoke, with an outdoor shower alcove, was handcrafted for Ryan S. In Happy Valley, OR. We utilized our Pano design as a reference, and went with slot windows to maximize privacy . Ext: 11’6”x8’6”x10’10” Int: 8’x6’5”x8’. Yakisugi finish with natural blonde accents. Clear cedar benches and backrest.
