"I went into Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy with very low expectations."

Here's a testimonial with photos shared by an individual who was using HBOT and Red Light Therapy after having complications from a surgery.

"Honestly, I was not sold on the treatment. I did not really believe HBOT would help, and I thought red light therapy was mainly something people used for anti-aging. But I was facing the possibility of another surgery, so I decided it was worth trying.

I underwent surgery on February 26. The surgical area remained wrapped until March 5, so I did not know what was happening underneath during that first week. When the area was uncovered, portions of the incision had opened and were not healing as expected.

My body appeared to be rejecting the sutures and continued pushing pieces of suture material toward the surface. I was very likely headed back into surgery so the area could be closed again using a different type of suture, which would have meant another procedure and another round of anesthesia.

Before doing that, I decided to try a non-invasive approach to support the healing process. My care plan at PEAK Integrative Medicine included several Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy sessions along with approximately one month of red light therapy three times per week.

I was surprised by what I saw.

After beginning treatment, I could see a noticeable difference as early as the same day. The pictures show the progress, but they truly do not do it justice. The wound appeared calmer and less inflamed, and the healing process began moving in the right direction.

The care involved much more than the therapies alone. My wound was closely assessed and measured throughout the process. As exposed suture material surfaced, it was removed when appropriate. I also received ongoing wound care, cleaning, and regular monitoring.

These photos document my progress from March 14 through April 9. Over those few weeks, the open areas gradually became smaller as healthy tissue developed and the wound continued toward closure.

Ultimately, I was able to continue healing without undergoing another surgical procedure or another round of anesthesia.

I began this process skeptical and with very low expectations. After seeing the results for myself, my perspective on HBOT and red light therapy completely changed.

This was my personal experience. I know that individual results vary, and treatment recommendations should be based on each person’s medical needs and circumstances."

NOTE: Individual results do vary, but we've seen many other cases of HBOT helping when other interventions and/or just waiting was not enough.

Business owners and HR managers,

As an independent medical practice, we often come across many new and innovative businesses in the health care sector. One of these is a company who offers medical insurance options for employers with more than 5 individuals and/or families on their plan at a discount of 30-40% less than current options.

The savings we're seeing is quite significant.

Here's one as an example. These are real numbers for a real company here locally in Schuylkill County.

11 employees/families on the plan.

Old BCBS Plan - $11,428.24 monthly payments.
New Plan - $5775.02 monthly payments.

$5,653.22 savings monthly
$67,838.64 savings annually

AND... the plan they chose adds our services at PEAK for some of the members and if the employees have the option to use their care coordination services so that they pay $0 out of pocket (no deductible or copay). Better coverage. Less costly to both employer and employee.

Don't wait until you're met with a deadline to renew your current plan, probably at another 10%+ increase. Start lining up your options now.

Direct message us with your email address and we'll connect you to the rep.

(If you have less than 5 employees, we have another option as well, so still message us if interested.)

It's called Shield, from Guardant Health. FDA approved, screens for colon cancer with one blood draw. No prep, no sedation, no stool to handle.

NOTE: It does not replace a colonoscopy. The scope is still the gold standard and the only test that finds and removes polyps before they turn into cancer. If you're over 45 and never been screened, or strong family history... Start there.

What it's good for: it catches most actual colon cancers and can be done yearly. Good option between colonoscopies, or if you keep putting the scope off. The best screening test is the one you'll actually do.

Adults 45 and up with no current cancer diagnosis are able to get approved for this test every 3 years. The cost is $89 to PEAK for the blood draw and the interpretation (no extra fees for PEAK members). Guardant bills your insurance for the test. They tell us it is almost always covered, but call your insurance plan to confirm.

If anything shows up positive, one of our medical providers reviews it with you and will write the appropriate referral so you can get checked out (or you can share and coordinate with your family physician).

The heating pad. The massage gun. The inversion table. The gadget ordered at 2 AM...

When pain keeps coming back, it usually isn't a lack of effort. It's that nobody found the actual cause, explained it clearly, and built a plan to fix it.

At PEAK Integrative Medicine in Orwigsburg, chiropractic care goes beyond adjustments: hands-on treatment, corrective exercises, targeted muscle work, and advanced therapies most clinics rarely offer, with a full medical team in the same building. Every visit is built around what the patient needs, not just what insurance covers.

New Patient Exam: $199, evaluation and treatment included. No membership required.

"The two things our patients tell us most often: 'Nobody has actually listened to me before.' And: 'You do such a great job explaining what's actually wrong and how to fix it."

Pennsylvania reports more Lyme disease cases than any other state in the country. About 30% of all recorded U.S. cases come from right here, and all 67 PA counties have both the blacklegged tick and documented cases of Lyme.

And tick season is back.

Here's what most people don't realize: in peer-reviewed research, the standard two-tiered Lyme blood test had only 48% sensitivity in early Lyme disease. That means it missed more than half of early-stage cases. It takes weeks for the body to develop enough antibodies to be detected, even when the classic rash is present.

Not everyone gets the bullseye rash. Some people carry Lyme for months or years before anyone connects the dots.
If you've been told your labs are "normal" but you still don't feel right (fatigue that won't quit, brain fog, joint pain, mystery symptoms no one can explain), tick-borne infection is worth investigating.
