You could be doing everything right — eating well, exercising, staying consistent — and still gaining weight. Here's what no one tells you: it might be happening while you sleep. 😴

Elevated nighttime adrenaline triggers a hormone chain reaction that turns your blood sugar into stored fat — before you even wake up. Dr. Platt calls it Adrenaline Dominance, and it explains why so many people hit a wall no matter what they try.

The good news? Small changes to your evening routine can break the cycle.

MIC Drop! A must listen to fully understand BHRT, dosing and possible side effects.

Whether you are perimenopause or menopause, or just stressed, this podcast is for you.

PLUS, it's our first podcast which we will have experts in the field of hormone therapy joining us bi-weekly.

We just dropped a powerful new podcast episode with Carol Petersen all about the connection between progesterone, adrenaline, stress, and hormone balance during perimenopause and menopause.

Carol Petersen, a recognized expert in bioidentical hormone therapy, explained how progesterone plays a crucial role putting the brakes on stress including: managing adrenaline, balancing glucose and insulin, particularly during menopause and perimenopause.

She dispells the MYTH that there is no such thing as Progesterone intolerence, but rather a low dose and/or gut issue.

Conventional low-dose progesterone treatments often fail because they don't address the underlying hormonal imbalances, and recommended higher doses (300-600 milligrams daily) split throughout the day rather than the standard 100-200 milligrams - especially considering post menopause for effective bone regeneration.

The conversation also covered how liver health and detoxification pathways significantly impact progesterone metabolism, with Carol explaining that issues with allopregnanolone clearance can cause drowsiness and other side effects.

They discussed the importance of proper dosing, timing, and the need to address underlying liver and gut health issues when implementing hormone therapy.

Tune in now to learn how progesterone therapy can help support calmer moods, better stress resilience, and overall hormonal wellness.

Mother's Day is for every single person who has ever poured love into someone else without expecting anything back. 🌺

Whether you carried them, raised them, mentored them, or simply held space for them — you matter. Your love matters.

To all the moms by birth, by choice, by heart, and by circumstance — today is yours. You are seen, you are celebrated, and you are so deeply loved.

And today, we want to remind you of something important: you cannot pour from an empty cup. 💛

The same love and care you give so freely to others — you deserve it too. Rest without guilt. Nourish your body. Protect your peace. Take up space in your own life.

Self-care isn't selfish — for a mom, it's essential. When you fill your cup first, everyone around you benefits from the overflow.

So today, do something just for you. A quiet moment, a long walk, a treat, a deep breath — whatever restores your soul. You've earned it, and then some. 🌸

Happy Mother's Day to every woman who loves deeply and deserves to be loved deeply in return. 💛

🔥 Hot flashes aren’t from LOW estrogen — here’s what’s actually happening.

In perimenopause, you’re actually at your HIGHEST estrogen levels. What’s dropping is progesterone — and that shift creates a hormonal chaos most doctors never explain.

So what’s really causing your hot flashes, night sweats, and that dreaded 3am wake-up?

Glucose. Insulin. Adrenaline.

Here’s the chain reaction: ↳ Adrenaline spikes → glucose rises → insulin surges → your body overheats and wakes you up.

That 3am cortisol alarm isn’t random. It’s your brain demanding fuel because your blood sugar crashed — and adrenaline is the emergency response.

Enter: Dr. Platt’s Adrenaline Dominance Protocol 🙌

The fix isn’t more estrogen. It’s blocking adrenaline and controlling insulin — and progesterone cream does BOTH.

The protocol: ✅ Use a 5% bioidentical progesterone cream (50mg per pump) ✅ Apply 1–3 minutes BEFORE each meal — breakfast, lunch, dinner ✅ Up to 4x per day if symptoms are active ✅ When symptoms ease, reduce to 2–3x daily ✅ Bonus: apply before your bedtime low-glycemic snack (think spinach or green beans) to support sleep

Progesterone blocks adrenaline from reaching receptor sites AND blocks insulin — which interrupts the whole domino effect.

You’re not broken. You’re not estrogen-deficient. You’re adrenaline-dominant — and there’s a protocol for that. 💪

Why is progesterone so essential in pregnancy?

Progesterone is one of the most critical hormones in establishing and maintaining a healthy pregnancy. It supports implantation, builds and stabilizes the uterine lining, and helps reduce uterine contractions that could disrupt early development.

Working alongside estrogen and hCG, rapid hormonal shifts may also contribute to symptoms like nausea and, in some cases, hyperemesis gravidarum.

Beyond the first trimester, progesterone continues to support placental function and overall pregnancy stability, with research linking low levels in certain cases to complications such as preterm labor.
Large-scale studies of natural progesterone use in pregnancy have shown it to be safe under medical supervision.

Overall, progesterone plays a foundational role from conception through delivery in supporting a healthy pregnancy.

If you're pregnant or trying to conceive, there's one hormone you need to know about. 🤰

Progesterone — often called the "pregnancy hormone" — does so much more than most people realize.
✅ It helps your uterus grow to support your baby
✅ It prepares the lining for implantation
✅ It prevents early contractions
✅ And it can even signal how well your placenta is functioning — all the way through your third trimester
Low progesterone has been linked to morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum, premature labor, and even pregnancy loss.
The good news? Research from over 2,000 pregnancies shows that progesterone support is completely safe — with no increase in birth defects.
