Finding our Way, Mindfully

Finding our Way, Mindfully Hi, I’m a certified MBSR teacher through Brown University and a mom of two.

I help people slow down, build self-compassion, and live with more awareness and gratitude through guided meditations, mindful movement, and eating awareness.

Where: Elk Grove Library
When: Thursday evening 6:30-7:30pm
Why: ⬇️
What if stepping into your power isn’t about becoming someone new but about remembering who you already are?

Beneath the thoughts, the responsibilities, the expectations, and the constant striving, there is a part of you that is simply present and aware.

You don’t have to control every outcome.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to become “better” before you are worthy of feeling at peace.

Your power lives in your ability to be here 🧘 to notice, to choose, and to respond rather than simply react.

🔥”You can spend your whole life chasing the thing you think will make you happy, and never once realize you were never built to catch it.

That’s the trap most high achievers live inside. Run faster.
Earn more.
Hit the next goal. The rabbit just speeds up.

Peter Sage has spent decades coaching people out of that loop. He breaks human consciousness into four levels: To Me, By Me, Through Me, As Me. Most of us are stuck grinding in By Me, mistaking motion for meaning.

He’s lived the test, not just taught it. Six months in a UK prison, stripped of his business, his marriage, and everything he owned, and he chose to walk in smiling.

🔥This conversation will change how you carry whatever you’re carrying right now. Because the outer world always follows the inner one.”

One of the most rewarding parts of this work is witnessing the stillness that unfolds. No phones. No conversations. No pressure to do or achieve anything. Just people giving themselves permission to be fully present and discovering that, in that moment, they are enough.

These photos capture one of my recent Mindful Movement classes at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. This room was filled with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to move, breathe, and simply be present.

Two years ago, I gathered the courage to introduce myself to the Arlington Heights Library program director and asked if they would consider booking my class. Today, I have the privilege of partnering with multiple communities, working with returning clients, and meeting new faces after every session.

It's a reminder that sometimes one small, courageous conversation can lead to opportunities you never imagined.

If you're looking to bring a meaningful wellness experience to your library, community center, school district, senior center, or workplace this fall, I'd love to connect.

It's time to bring Mindful Movement to your organization.

Your nervous system is always listening. 👂💛

The good news? Small, consistent habits can help you feel more grounded, calm, and resilient—especially during stressful seasons.

🌿 Practice gratitude to shift your focus toward what’s going well
🧘 Slow down with mindfulness and return to the present moment
🚶 Move your body to release tension and boost your mood
🥗 Nourish yourself with meals that support your wellbeing
😴 Prioritize restful sleep so your mind and body can recover

Regulating your nervous system isn’t about being calm all the time. It’s about creating habits that help you return to balance when life feels overwhelming.

Which of these practices helps you feel most grounded? Share below. ⬇️

🌿🌞Decrease morning anxiety with this quick meditation.

Before the emails, the rushing, the to-do lists, and the demands of the day begin… give yourself 5 minutes to simply breathe.

I recorded a short 5-minute morning meditation to help you start your day feeling more grounded, calm, and present. Even a few mindful minutes in the morning can shift the energy of your entire day.
