Two things I learned on my postpartum journey that nobody really tells you: ✨

1. Swollen ankles aren’t always what you think. During pregnancy, we always hear that swelling is just from dehydration or high blood pressure. But did you know it can also be a sign of low iron? Low iron levels can lead to poor circulation, which leaves you with those stubborn, swollen ankles.

2. Post-birth uterus recovery. If you are having trouble with your uterus decreasing in size after birth, or dealing with intense after-pains, look into acupuncture. I had acupuncture and cupping done on my stomach postpartum, and it helped tremendously with the pain, cramping, and swelling.

Every pregnancy and postpartum journey looks different, but these two shifts made a massive difference for me. 🤍

Getting back into my chiropractic routine after maternity leave has been a beautiful, busy whirlwind. Finding a new daily rhythm takes a minute, but seeing all of your faces again makes it so worth it!

I am incredibly grateful for this community. Navigating pregnancy and maternity leave showed me just how lucky I am to be surrounded by such supportive, wonderful people. Thank you for lifting me up, checking in, and holding down the fort. I am so honored to live and grow here, and I'm incredibly excited to dive deeper into this next beautiful chapter with you all.

Let’s be real: that version of you who crushed 6:00 AM HIIT sessions before a cross-country move, a literal human exiting your body, or a three-week bout with the flu? She’s a legend. But she’s not the one standing in the gym today.

And that is perfectly okay.

Life happens. You moved, you birthed, you healed, or you simply survived a schedule that looked like a Tetris game gone wrong. When you’ve been away, "showing up" isn't a copy-paste of your old PRs.

Why It Matters
Showing up as you are—not as you were—is the ultimate flex. It shows you have the discipline to start over and the wisdom to respect your current limits.

The Goal: Support your body and mind for the life you have today.
Pro Tip: If you’re huffing and puffing on a warm-up that used to be a breeze, just tell people you’re doing "breathwork." It’s trendy. 😉

Stop waiting for the "perfect" time to feel like your old self. Show up as your current, slightly chaotic, undeniably resilient self. We’ll see you on the mat.

Life is about to get a whole lot busier (and a lot cuter!) around here. 👶🏼✨

As I head out on maternity leave at the end of this week to welcome Baby Osgood, I’m shifting my focus from the collective to newborn snuggles.
