📚💙 Sometimes care means more than healing the body.

Smiles, laughter and a good book brought comfort and joy to patients during a special Read a Book Day celebration at Studer Family Children’s Hospital. ✨📖

With the theme “Reading is Healing,” hundreds of books were handed out to our pediatric patients in honor of the national awareness day. 🧸❤️

A huge thank you to Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves for reading The ABCs of Pensacola to our patients and to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos for sending Kazoo to help hand out books—along with plenty of hugs and high fives! 🐟🙌📚

👶🎈 Helping families prepare for the journey ahead!

At the Florida Blue Center Community Baby Shower on Aug. 22, 78 participants joined us for a day focused on helping families prepare for pregnancy, birth and beyond. 💙

The event provided a meaningful opportunity to connect participants with education, resources and support before delivery. ✨

Christina represented Ascension Sacred Heart Women’s Services, Monogram Maternity and Lactation, answering questions and sharing helpful resources with families. Her outreach helped turn conversations into meaningful connections to education and support. 🍼❤️

Through those conversations:
🤱 17 mothers registered for a prenatal breastfeeding class
💙 4 families were connected with Monogram Maternity services

We’re grateful for opportunities to meet families in our community and connect them with resources to support them throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. 👶🤰

At Studer Family Children’s Hospital and Ascension Sacred Heart, our facility dogs bring comfort, connection and moments of joy to patients and families every day. Whether helping ease a child’s anxiety before a procedure, encouraging a patient during rehabilitation or simply providing a reassuring presence during a difficult day, these specially trained members of our care teams make an impact that goes far beyond cuddles. 🐾❤️
