What have you been carrying this week that no longer belongs in your nervous system?
The conversation you keep replaying.
The deadline that has already passed.
Someone else’s expectations.
The tension from a difficult moment.
The pressure to figure everything out.
The feeling that you should be doing more.
Sometimes the stressful moment ends, but our bodies are still carrying the experience.
Pause, and give yourself a few minutes to notice what is still with you.
Pour something warm.
Open your journal.
Notice your body.
And ask yourself:
What am I carrying?
What is actually mine to hold?
What can I begin to put down?
You don’t have to force yourself to “let it go.” Sometimes the practice is simply recognizing that you don’t need to keep gripping it so tightly.
Pause. Process. Practice.
Save this for your end-of-week grounding practice—or send it to someone who may need permission to put something down.
