Join Coconino County Health and Human Services Injury Prevention at a FREE Car Seat Check Event on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Cal Ranch Parking Lot, 2530 N Fourth St., in Flagstaff!

Certified child passenger safety technicians will provide instruction on how to install and use a car seat correctly. Old, broken and recalled child safety seats will be replaced free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Must be a Coconino County resident.

Thank you to Autism Science Foundation for their strong stance on science and vaccines.

During today’s signing of an executive order on the childhood vaccination schedule, the administration repeated false claims linking vaccines to autism—despite decades of research involving millions of children showing no link.

“We oppose using the autism crisis to advance hypotheses that have already been tested and repeatedly failed to demonstrate a causal connection,” said ASF President Alison Singer. “The fact that autism prevalence has increased does not make every factor that has also increased a cause of autism.”
