If you’ve visited one of Valleywise Health’s many locations, chances are you’ve seen their work, from signage throughout our facilities to donor recognition walls. But you may not know the story behind it.

More than 40 years ago, Gretchen Wilde started Airpark Signs & Graphics from her home, creating name tags for nurses. Today, the family business helps bring Valleywise Health spaces to life.

In our latest Partners in Purpose video, Gretchen and her daughter, Veronica Corral, share why they’re proud to see their work throughout our health system and what inspires them to give back.

✨ More support for moms, babies and families. ✨

Thanks to the generosity of The Board of Visitors and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Valleywise Health is continuing to improve care for families in our community.

Their support is helping bring new equipment and resources to Labor and Delivery, specialized training for care teams, and a new prenatal education and orientation program designed to help expectant families feel informed, prepared and supported before delivery.

We’re incredibly grateful to The Board of Visitors and SRPMIC for investing in compassionate, patient-centered care for moms and babies at Valleywise Health. 🫶

Thunderbirds Charities has awarded a $200,000 grant to Valleywise Health Foundation to help expand behavioral health services for children, youth, and families.

This generous investment will help create a more welcoming and supportive care environment, expand access to behavioral health services for vulnerable patients, and support the training of future mental health professionals who will care for our community for years to come.

For 15 years, Auggie Rosales has helped keep Valleywise Health employees, patients and visitors safe as a Security Manager.

Growing up, Auggie benefited from after-school and community programs that helped shape his childhood. Today, he gives back through Heart of Valleywise Health so other children and families have access to the same kinds of opportunities.

"Those programs made a difference for my family," Auggie said. "Now that I'm in a position to give back, it's important to me because I know there are kids and families out there who are struggling just like mine did. This is my chance to pay it forward."

Valleywise Health Foundation is saddened by the passing of longtime supporter and friend Joe Anderson.

An Arizona native, healthcare leader, philanthropist and co-founder of Benovia Winery, Joe dedicated much of his life to helping others. His career began with a commitment to improving healthcare for underserved Arizonans, and his generosity continued throughout his life through support of organizations and causes that strengthened communities.

Joe was known for his “quiet generosity” and his belief that everyone is worthy. We are deeply grateful for his many years of support for Valleywise Health Foundation and the lasting impact he made on our mission and the patients we serve.

Our heartfelt condolences are with his wife, Mary, the Anderson family and all who knew and loved him. Joe’s legacy of compassion and service will live on through the many lives he touched.
