We take a special interest in our 65 and older Veteran population. We will ensure our Veterans are in a safe environment and can help them find suitable housing based on their needs. We will also ensure our Veterans are receiving the care they need. If we discover Veterans are losing their ability to take care of themselves, we will explore additional care in their home. We can also coordinate add

itional medical equipment needed (oxygen, bed, wheelchair, walker, shower chair, etc). Once our Veterans are in a safe environment and they have the medical care they need, we will assist them apply for the benefits they have earned. We will assist Veterans with VA enrollment, appointments, pension, disability, and compensation claims.

Another great coffee hour with our Veteran seniors and their families at the Mesa Buckhorn Elks in Mesa, AZ.

We proudly welcomed six new men and women into our formation, presenting each with a Veterans Affinity T-shirt as a reminder they belong. Over coffee and donuts, we shared stories and strengthened the bonds of camaraderie that continue long after military service.

We discussed navigating VA healthcare and earned benefits, Community Care referrals, key Phoenix VA Health Care System contacts, and military installation access for eligible Veterans and their Families.

Did you know? Military retirees and Veterans with a 100% VA service-connected disability rating are eligible for a Uniformed Services Identification and Privilege (USID) card. Eligible dependents may also qualify.

A meaningful morning connecting with Veterans and their Families at the Globe - Miami Elks Lodge in Globe, Arizona. Stories, laughter, and camaraderie made the gathering truly special.

Veterans shared memories of service, duty stations, and experiences from around the world, reminding us that the bonds forged through military service last a lifetime.

No Veteran in a rural community should ever feel isolated or forgotten. Our gatherings build lasting friendships, strengthen connections, and ensure no Veteran faces life’s challenges alone.

Our discussion covered VA healthcare, earned benefits, and using My HealtheVet to communicate with VA medical providers. We also reviewed Community Care referrals, the 72-hour emergency notification requirement, and coordinating with the VA Traveling Veteran Coordinator before extended travel.

We’re deeply grateful to our dedicated volunteers who traveled to Globe and continue answering the call to ensure every Veteran feels supported, valued, and remembered.
