A little behind the scenes of a distance Reiki session ✨

Every session looks a little different depending on the client’s needs, what I’m intuitively drawn to, and the space I’m working in that day.

Sometimes that includes crystals, oils, sound tools, intuitive messages, or simply quiet hands and focused energy.

We connect across distance every day through phones, apps, messages, music, and energy we can’t physically see.

Distance Reiki works with that same idea of connection — the reminder that energy doesn’t need us to be in the same room to be felt.

I freaking love this song, so of course I had to put our Puerto Rico memories to it. 🇵🇷

These pictures are from our family vacation in 2019 — Darrick and I had been to San Juan before, but it was Payton’s first time. Between the ocean, the rainforest, and the energy of Puerto Rico, this trip was such a recharge. 🌊🌿✨

Now when I hear this song, I think of these moments.

After a weekend full of Reiki sessions and rain, the sun finally came out. ☀️

So after my Reiki client today, I went outside just to ground and get a little sunshine.

But with all the green, the trees, and the light coming through… I realized my inner child, aka Little Tracy, wanted to come out and play. 🌿

I grew up as a total tomboy — playing in the woods, climbing trees, exploring the creek behind our house, and finding secret little hideouts everywhere.

So today, I let her play.

She built cabins.
She climbed trees.
She climbed rocks.
She remembered how good it feels to just be outside and imagine.

And Big Tracy stayed on the path because… ticks and poison ivy. 😆

Sometimes replenishing your energy looks like letting your inner child lead the way.

This photo was taken just a few months before my mom passed away.

My parents were staying with me for a few days, and I talked them into doing a little chair/couch yoga in my living room because I wanted to help them gently move their bodies a little.

They both had mobility challenges, and this was my dad’s first yoga class ever.

So when someone tells me, “I can’t do yoga,” I often show them this picture.

Yoga does not have to mean twisting yourself into a pretzel or doing something strenuous.

Yoga can be done in a chair. On a couch. With props. At home. Online. At your own pace.

The physical poses are only one part of yoga.

Yoga also includes breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, self-awareness, and connection.

You don’t have to fit yourself into yoga.

You just need to find the version of yoga that meets you where you are.
