Yesterday Pappy Frank spent the day with us,
First we went to her Doctors appointment in Wexford to get her fitted for a new bath seat and possibly a stroller.

Turns out her insurance won’t cover the medical stroller till she’s atleast 5! So we have to wait a few more years for that, so in the mean time we have to research for a stroller that can withstand up to 65lbs with a 5 point harness.

Now we already knew that she would end up with a wheelchair at some point in her life cause she won’t be able to do long distances, we just didn’t expect them to bring it up now. We did try one out and she took to it right away. ♿️ she looks so
Cute in it too hahaha

BUT we have decided to get try to get an attachment for Her Walker that will give her additional support to keep her in an upright position in hopes that she will try to stop pulling her arms out of the forearm supports. We would love to see her walk as much as possible before we get her a wheelchair. They said we can return to the idea in a year or so.

Then we went to Cracker Barrel for a late lunch and it was delicious 😋

This morning our poor little Rosie girl woke up with her very first stye in her right eye, and by the time we got her to her appointment the whole bottom under eye was swollen!

Praying it doesn’t bother her too much, they said to try and put warm compress on it and an ointment on her eye twice a day…key word here is “try” 😅 cause if you know you know lol 😂

If it ain’t one thing it’s another lol

Yesterday we went and had our yearly hearing test and they said we just need to follow up again in a year cause she has good listening ears!

Then we had a pelvic xray for her hips so just waiting to hear back about what they think.

And thank you to another mom who told us to try these fever patches on the back of her neck or shirt to keep her cool in these extreme hot temperatures. Because she could have a heat induced seizure.

“For individuals with epilepsy, external heat, high humidity, and heat exhaustion can exacerbate seizure frequency. Severe heatstroke occurs when the body's temperature surpasses 104°F (40°C), which is a life-threatening medical emergency.”

We also finally got to ride in our little tikes fairy coop car!

This morning we got our quick talker! 🤩🙌🏽

We are very excited to see where the next 30-45 days go! 🤓📱

Then we went to our follow up at PMR with our new Dr since our other one is retiring, and we really like her as well so that was a plus!

She wrote us a script to see about getting us a Medical Adaptive Stroller with a 5 point harness , and the possibility of getting an attachment that will hold her quick talker near her so she doesn’t throw out 1 million times and we have to keep picking it up time and time again 🤪

So 🤞🏽that insurance approves this for us!

We also have to get hip X-ray since her leg/s want to turn outward. She said that it’s nothing to worry about right now, but it’s good to get a baseline view.

So we will do that next week when we go for our yearly hearing test!

Our biggie girl had her routine EEG this morning and overall she did good, I just hate having to help hold her down and listen to her cry for 25 minutes while they freeze dry glue 25 probes to her head! And getting the glue out of her hair is the absolute worst and I’m not looking forward to that later tonight.

Then she had to get bloodwork done for endocrinology for her growth hormone.
And honestly she did way better than I expected and she barely cried, my brave girl.

Then we went and GOT HER FEEDING TUBE REMOVED! They said it’s a tube free summer! 🤩

Today should be the last time we ever have to cover her button for swimming!

Scheduled to have tube removal on Thursday!

Well us girls had a LOOOOONG day but it went pretty well for the most part!

First we seen the speech therapist at children’s for her AAC Device Evaluation. And by the end of the appointment she suggest we try tobii dynavox for a quick talker but she wanted us to have a mini one with a handle on it for our trial. She didn’t have any in stock so she has to order it. In the mean time we have to gather a list of things including pictures of stuff we have at home so we can have it customized to her every day life including mom,dad, sister, milk, snacks etc and we can pick it up on the 25th when we go back to children’s for PMR follow up appointment. 📱🔊

Then we went to her yearly eye appointment and they needed a new prescription and we needed to try a new pair of glasses that would be more comfortable on her face and of course they only had 3 different frame shapes and each one was a different color 🙄 we got a color we like with a frame shape we don’t 😅 oh well you win some you lose some. But atleast shes getting a new pair and hopefully they will fit better and be more comfortable on her face without leaving any red marks. 🤓

Wanted to give a little life update since we have been so busy lately with big sisters spring chorus concert, softball games, and end of the year things and Rosalee’s Dr appointments and therapy sessions and her first Pirates Game 🤩☀️⚾️

First things first I just want to shout out at all of Emberlee’s little friends for loving Rosalee unconditionally, it just warms my heart to see how much love everyone has for her! 🩷

Second I’d like to share that we have been SEIZURE FREE for almost 2 weeks now 👏🏽

On Monday we had a well visited at the pedestrians office and they said she’s doing great. And they are going to refer us to the DME clinic (durable medical equipment) for an evaluation to get Rosalee a more adaptable bath seat. That appointment is already set for July 13th in Wexford!

AND they got us a referral for a Speech therapy AAC evaluation since her at home therapist seems to be dropping the ball. They called today and said that they can get her in on Friday while we’re already there for her eye appointment! How exciting! She stated that if Rosalee shows interest a certain communication device she can get us a trial run for 45 days and if it works out they will order us a brand new one!

I will forever be greatful for her pediatrician for always going above and beyond for her and being so fast at getting us referrals for things to help improve her quality of life, we just love her!
