Keep your body Hydrated! Here are some tips:
💧 Don’t wait until you’re thirsty , thirst can be a late cue. Sip fluids consistently throughout the day.
🧂 Think beyond plain water, after heavy sweating or long workouts, electrolytes such as sodium and potassium can help replace losses.
🌅 Hydrate early, start the morning with water instead of trying to catch up at night.
🏋️ Plan around your workout, drink before, during, and after training, especially in the Florida heat.
🍉 Eat your hydration, watermelon, oranges, cucumbers, berries, and other water-rich foods contribute to fluid intake.
☕ Watch the “all coffee, no water” routine, caffeinated drinks can count toward fluids, but don’t let them replace your overall hydration.
🚽 Use urine color as a rough guide, pale yellow generally suggests you’re well hydrated; consistently dark urine can mean you need more fluids. Some vitamins and medications can change the color.
🥵 Increase fluids when you sweat more, outdoor work, cardio, sauna sessions, and hot weather can significantly increase fluid and electrolyte losses.
🥤 Keep water visible, having a bottle at your desk, in the car, or at the gym makes consistent drinking easier.
⚠️ Know the warning signs, headache, dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, and reduced urination can occur with dehydration.
