Lip filler healing is a process.

This progression shows the lips at three stages: before treatment, immediately after injections, and two weeks into healing. ❤️‍🩹

One of the most important things to understand about filler is that what you see immediately after treatment is not the finished result. Swelling is a normal part of the healing process and can temporarily make the lips appear fuller, firmer, or less symmetrical.

As the swelling resolves, the lips begin to settle and the filler integrates into the tissue. At around two weeks, we can get a much clearer understanding of the results.

Every patient heals differently, and every treatment should be thoughtfully tailored to the individual. 💉✨

When lip filler appears to have migrated, it doesn’t just disappear from the lips and travel somewhere random. 💉✨ Filler can move beyond the intended treatment area and become noticeable in the tissue above or around the lip.
