May and June are two of Portland’s busiest months. This week, we’re highlighting just a few moments spent in community with the businesses and community partners that help make Portland great.
Slide 1: Green Cities Business Liaison Katherine Juengel (pictured, right) joined Economic Development Director Andrew Fitzpatrick (left) and Director of Equity, Policy and Communications Chabre Vickers (center) at a celebration for University of Oregon’s new Oregon Acoustic Research Laboratory (OARL) at Port of Portland’s Mass Timber and Housing Innovation Campus (MTHIC). Once completed, this state-of-the-art facility will be an integral part of MTHIC’s campus vision.
Slide 2: Executive Director Cornell Wesley met with the Columbia Corridor Association (CCA) and Swan Island Business Association and sat down with Executive Director Corky Collier (pictured, left) for a moderated discussion on investment priorities and economic opportunities for the city’s industrial corridors.
Slide 3: Director of Equity, Policy and Communications Chabre Vickers represented Prosper Portland during a Best Practices visit to Vancouver, British Columbia. While there, Director Vickers moderated the Economic Practitioners Roundtable discussion.
Slide 4: Prosper Portland’s Business Advancement Team hosted a networking event at Daimler Truck North America for advanced manufacturing and clean tech companies in the Portland area.
Slide 5: Staff from the Entrepreneurship & Community Economic Development team attended the opening of Neighborhood House’s new headquarters in SW Portland. Neighborhood House () is part of Prosper Portland’s Inclusive Business Resource Network, delivering small business support for childcare-related businesses.
