⛑️ If you hold any professional medical credential and work in or near remote environments, the Wilderness EMS Upgrade (WEMS) was built for you. This 45-hour course bridges the gap between your existing scope of practice and the realities of prehospital care in wilderness settings. Participants earn 45 CE hours (CAPCE-approved) and a 3-year WEMS certification.

The course draws an interdisciplinary mix: EMTs, paramedics, RNs, advanced practice providers, SAR medical leaders, expedition medics, DMAT members, and military medics to train side by side, a design choice that mirrors the collaborative reality of remote rescue operations.
