Yesterday residents stepped up to bat⚾️ while watching MLB highlights (Yankees vs. Red Sox of course) and patiently waited for brownie ice cream sundaes🍨 to kick off the celebration of National CNA Week. 🎉🎈🎉🎈

It's the last day of May, and I realized we never posted the photos from the May Crowning earlier this month, just the video -- oops! I know the families of the girls who participated will want these, so, better late than never!
*The Catholic Church dedicates the month of May to devotion to Mary, looking to the Blessed Mother as the preeminent example of discipleship and faithfulness to God. One of the ways we honor Mary is with the title Queen of Heaven and Earth; as Jesus is our Lord and King, she is the queen mother. It is a long-standing tradition to symbolically crown Mary during the month dedicated to her, usually with a crown of flowers in celebration of the Spring season. Many of our residents have fond memories of participating in May processions and crownings when they were young, and it brings them joy to see the daughters/nieces/granddaughters of our staff members continue this lovely tradition here each year.*
