🌿 Out of Office 🌿

I'm taking a few days away to spend time with my family and recharge.

This morning’s breakfast came courtesy of a client’s chickens, and it had me reflecting on how grateful I am for the people I work with.

Whether it’s fresh eggs, vegetables from the garden, flowers, or simply a thoughtful conversation, I am continually reminded that this work is about so much more than muscles and tension patterns.

It’s about community. It’s about relationships. It’s about people caring for one another.

Thank you for supporting my work, sharing pieces of your lives with me, and allowing me the privilege of supporting your wellness journey. I appreciate every one of you. 🤍

One of the concepts I love from Traditional Chinese Medicine is the idea of preparing for the seasons ahead rather than waiting for symptoms to arrive.

Many practitioners begin supporting the body one or even two seasons before a recurring challenge tends to show up. Instead of focusing only on the symptoms we can see, we look for the underlying patterns that may be contributing to them.

Winter is associated with the Kidney system in Chinese medicine. In the simplest terms, I often describe the Kidneys as supporting our original Qi—the deep reserves of energy and vitality we are born with—and as the body's battery for day-to-day life.

We all know what happens when we ignore a low battery warning. Eventually things stop working as well as they should.

Our bodies offer warning lights too: fatigue, aches and pains, poor sleep, feeling overwhelmed, slower recovery, or simply feeling unlike ourselves.

From a Chinese medicine perspective, the warm months of summer can be a wonderful time to build reserves and support Kidney Qi before the colder months arrive. Rather than waiting until winter fatigue, stiffness, or burnout show up, we can begin supporting the foundation now.

This perspective reminds me that true wellness is often proactive rather than reactive. The body leaves clues long before symptoms become loud.

Whether through bodywork, restorative rest, nourishing foods, time in nature, or other supportive practices, there is value in tending to the root before the branches begin asking for attention.

Learning to listen to those signals—and responding before depletion takes hold—is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.

Massage therapy can be one of many ways to support that process, offering an opportunity to slow down, regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, release accumulated tension, and create space for the body to rest, restore, and recharge.

Sometimes wellness isn't about pushing harder. Sometimes it's about charging the battery before the warning light comes on.

If you find the fall and winter challenging in different aspects of your life, care through the end of spring and summer can be very supportive.

I’ve come to learn that we all carry tender places in our lives.
Loss of loved ones. Shifts in relationships. Life-altering medical events. Busy seasons that keep the nervous system in overdrive. Hypervigilance shaped by trauma, stress, or the ways we learned to survive.

So often, conversations about tension patterns in the body lead back to a turning point in someone’s life.
The birth that didn’t go as planned.
Caretaking for loved ones.
Near-death experiences.
The demands of postpartum.
Autoimmune conditions running rampant. A life without a village. The quiet accumulation of stress over years of holding everything together.

The body keeps score.
The nervous system keeps score.

No matter what room I work in, I hope my sessions always feel like a safe space to soften, exhale, and share the story of what brought you to where you are today. There is so much insight held within those patterns, and there is healing in being truly seen.

My only goal is impactful change — gently reminding your body how to come back to itself again.

I see you. I honor you.
And I’m deeply grateful for the privilege of supporting the unwinding of the body patterns, protective responses, and emotional weight you carry body and soul. 🤍

☀️ Summer Schedule Update ☀️

Between little getaways, staycations, soccer season, camps, and saxophone lessons 😳😅… my summer schedule is definitely a little more altered than usual this year. Trying to make time for small pauses to spend time with my family.

I’m sharing my June & July availability now so everyone has time to plan ahead. There may be a few small changes along the way, but this should give a good overall picture of my current openings.

Thank you for continuing to support both my work and my life outside the treatment room. It truly means so much to me that people choose to come in, slow down, and commit to their self-care. I never take that trust for granted 🤍

Please text or call 215.534.1998 to schedule. Thank you!

There’s something different about slowing down on a Sunday.
The world gets quieter, the week softens a little, and your body finally has space to exhale.

My Sunday Reset sessions are designed for women carrying stress, tension, mental overload, and the constant demand of caring for everyone else first. These 1-hour therapeutic sessions include warm stones, hot towels, aromatherapy, and intentional bodywork to help calm the nervous system and bring you back to yourself.

Current Sunday availability:

✨ Sunday, May 17th — 1:30pm
✨ Sunday, May 23rd — 10:00am or 11:15am

Available in Quakertown at BackandBodyMLI2.

If your body has been asking for rest, this is your reminder to listen.
Please message me or text 215-534-1998 with questions or to reserve a session.

Motherhood exists in so many forms, and not all of them are visible.

For some, Mother’s Day is filled with laughter, sticky hands, noise, and movement.
For others, it carries longing, grief, silence, exhaustion, healing, or complicated emotions that are hard to explain.

Today I’m thinking about the women trying to conceive and carrying hope month after month.
The mothers who have lost children and somehow continue moving through the world while carrying a love that never left.
The women navigating miscarriage, infertility, or pregnancies that changed them forever.
The mothers deep in the sleepless years of caregiving.
The women learning how motherhood changes again as children grow older and need them differently.
The mothers whose children have become adults.
The grandmothers.
The stepmothers.
The women who mother others simply through their presence, care, protection, and kindness.
And the women grieving the loss of their own mothers while trying to navigate this day with tenderness and strength.

There is no single way to experience motherhood.

And yet, despite all its different forms, there is something deeply beautiful about motherhood — the way women continue to love, nurture, protect, adapt, soften, and keep showing up even through seasons that change them completely. There is beauty in the resilience, in the tenderness, in the quiet sacrifices no one sees, and in the love that continues to exist even through grief and change.

Motherhood stretches us. Softens us. Breaks us open. Changes our identities over and over again through every age and stage of life.

I think many women are carrying more than the world realizes.

So today, I hope we move a little more gently with one another.
I hope we remember that every woman may be standing inside a story we cannot see.
And I hope every mother — and every woman longing, grieving, nurturing, adapting, surviving, or loving deeply — feels seen in some way today. 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day.
