There are places on this earth that you don’t just visit... they change you.
Oaxaca, Mexico has been in my life for over 25 years. And in that time, these lands have not simply been a destination. They have been a teacher. A mirror. A homecoming.
Long before I understood ceremony, Oaxaca was already teaching it to me through the smoke of copal, through the rhythms of ancient ritual, through the way the people here carry their relationship to the cosmos in their bones. My own understanding of world cosmology, of the sacred, of what it means to move through life in relationship with the unseen, so much of it was born right here.
And what I want you to know, what I need you to know, is that the magic of this land is not confined to the ruins you can touch or the artifacts behind glass.
It is alive in the trees.
It is alive in the wind that moves through the pines.
It is alive in the medicine that grows from this earth.
And above all, it is alive in THE MOUNTAIN.
The mountain is not a backdrop. The mountain is not scenery.
The mountain is the original temple.
Before any stone was placed upon stone, before any altar was built by human hands, the mountain was already holding ceremony. Already calling seekers toward something fundamental, something real, something that lives beneath the surface of ordinary life and waits to be remembered.
This August, we return again. Our third annual pilgrimage to San José del Pacífico, high above the clouds, beneath the stars, deep in the heart of Oaxaca’s sacred mountains.
We are bringing a small, intimate group to connect with the great mysteries of life. To breathe. To sit in ceremony. To let the mountain do what mountains have always done, strip away what is not real, and reveal what is.
We have TWO spaces remaining.
August 6–13th, 2026.
If you have felt a call, even a whisper, I invite you to lean into it. This kind of journey doesn’t ask you to be ready. It asks you to be willing.
