Cancer is hard. Period.

It’s hard when you’re waiting for answers.
It’s hard when you’re navigating treatment.
It’s hard when you’re living with uncertainty.
It’s hard when you’re caring for someone you love.
And it’s hard when everyone expects you to be “strong.”

There is no stage that makes someone’s experience more or less deserving of compassion.

So instead of comparing, let’s show up.
Instead of saying, “At least…” let’s listen.
Instead of trying to find the perfect thing to say, let’s simply be there.

Because behind every diagnosis is a person, and every person deserves support.

Actually necessary? Absolutely.

Funding early detection means investing in the research that could help us find pancreatic cancer sooner. It means asking better questions, pursuing better answers, and refusing to accept that “this is just how it is” is good enough.

Because earlier detection could mean more options, more time, and more possibilities for the people and families facing pancreatic cancer.

Grief doesn't follow a timeline.

It can show up months or years later, in a song, a familiar place, a birthday, a favorite meal, or a moment when you instinctively reach for your phone to call someone who isn't there anymore.

For families who have lost someone to pancreatic cancer, grief can be complicated. There can be relief that treatment is over, gratitude for the time you had, sadness for the time you didn't, and a thousand emotions that can exist at the same time.

There is no right way to grieve. And there is no deadline for missing someone.

Today, on National Grief Awareness Day, we're holding space for everyone carrying the loss of someone they love.

A meaningful step forward for pancreatic cancer treatment.

On August 26, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved daraxonrasib (Rasonque), a targeted therapy for adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have received at least one prior systemic therapy or are not candidates for multiagent systemic therapy.

In the clinical trial supporting the approval, daraxonrasib improved median overall survival compared with standard chemotherapy, while also improving progression-free survival and response rates.

This doesn't mean the fight is over. But new treatment options mean new possibilities for patients and families facing pancreatic cancer.

Today, we're recognizing the researchers, clinicians, patients, families, and advocates who continue to push pancreatic cancer research forward.

Treatment decisions should always be made with a qualified healthcare professional.
