In 2024, at ICES Long Beach, I was an independent esthetician working out of a Phenix Salon Suite, and looking for the next best thing for my treatment room.

2 years ago, I took home a few Kaia Skin products: the Calm Blue Face Oil, Rose Tulsi Hydrosol, and Kansa Comb. I felt a bit intimidated to use the Kaia Method, but founder of Kaia Skin, Kalpana, spent time with me to empower me on her method!

Over the course of the next 2 years, I trained with Kalpana to learn exactly the way these tools and products are intended to be used. I learned about Doshas and matching the best masks for any given Dosha. It all comes down to the intention behind Kaia, that Kalpana pours into each and every detail.

It was such a pleasure to demonstrate and educate at the Kaia Skin booth Kaia Skin | Nervous System Skincare

I met Kalpana, founder of Kaia Skin, two years ago at this very same expo. I was drawn to the Ayurvedic lifestyle. I started slow, with a Rose Tulsi Hydrosol, Calm Blue Face Oil, and Kansa Comb. Within 3 months, I called her for more Blue Face Oil and to try the Ubtan 3-in-1 Cleanser, Exfoliant, Mask. I fell in love with her small-batch, hand-made, Reiki infused products!!

2 years later, I haven't learned it all, but I feel so complete using genuinely natural products on my clients. Happy to share my experience with other estheticians who also feel drawn towards Ayurveda ✨️🙏🏽

Moisture Rescue Peek-off Mask by Le Mieux is a Prim Lyfe favorite because of how effective it is in bringing moisture to the skin's barrier.

We do not charge extra for peel-off masks. If you want one, just ask for it!

Ocean Therapy may not be what you think... 🌊🤔

Ocean Therapy, or Thalassotherapy focuses on being present, while spending time in a marine environment. Some spas offer Thalassotherapy programs, which utilize salt scrubs, algae products, and marine elements to help with relaxation.

At Prim Lyfe, we are close enough in proximity to the Ocean, to simply visit it and perform the therapy on site. We do not promise to treat any ailments or illnesses. In fact, this type of wellness practice is supplemental to medical health care, in many cases. It should never replace your doctor's care.

Instead, Ocean Therapy at Prim Lyfe is a chance to experience life from a different perspective. It is a chance to engage with nature in an intentional way and with guidance. It is not necessary to fully submerge and you don't even have to get your feet wet if you don't want to. We are prepared to help those with zero water-confidence and it's okay to want something, but not be fully ready to commit. The point is to experience the ocean with intentions of being fully present and feeling lighter.

High Frequency facials are heavily underrated. We don't know why, but here's our hunch:

•one of the oldest modalities in esthetics
•one of the first techniques learned in beauty school
•only takes 2-3 minutes to be effective
•high maintenance hardware (glass probes break all the time)
•instantly kills bacteria
•instantly provides a tightening effect

It's so good.... it gets overlooked, omitted, or just slapped on at the end. Plus, estheticians with costly equipment, like hydrafacial machines, have a quota to meet so they can pay off their equipment. We have always been a hands-on, holistic skin care business with no debt, so we do owe recommendations to vendors. We owe it to our clients to offer the best solution for them.
