Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) testing is a simple blood test that can help detect possible prostate issues early, even before symptoms appear.

Men can ask their primary care provider about a PSA test during a routine check-up, especially if they have risk factors such as age, family history, or urinary symptoms.

While elevated PSA levels can be linked to prostate cancer, they can also be caused by non-cancerous conditions. That’s why results should always be reviewed with a healthcare provider to understand what they mean and determine the next best steps.
