Why Baseline Scans Matter šæWhen it comes to breast health, one of the most powerful things you can do is learn what is normal for your body.
A baseline breast thermography scan gives you a starting point - a visual record of your unique heat patterns, circulation patterns, and asymmetries at one point in time.
But a true baseline is not just one scan.
For breast thermography, the baseline process typically includes an initial scan followed by a second scan about 90 days later. That second scan matters because it helps show whether your thermal patterns are stable or changing.
One scan gives us a snapshot.
Two scans give us comparison.
That comparison helps establish your personal ānormalā more clearly, so future annual scans can be measured against your own patterns - not just a general standard.
Breast tissue is not static. It responds to hormones, stress, inflammation, lymph flow, cycle changes, perimenopause, menopause, medications, implants, dense tissue, fibrocystic changes, and overall health.
Thermography looks at function, not just structure. It measures temperature patterns on the surface of the body that may reflect physiological activity such as inflammation, vascular activity, circulation changes, or asymmetry.
After the initial baseline process, an annual breast thermography scan is commonly recommended for ongoing monitoring.
Your body is always communicating. A baseline scan helps you listen with more information, more confidence, and a clearer picture of what is normal for you. š
