If you felt personally attacked by this, you are not alone. ππ
Mom guilt might be the most universal experience of motherhood and also one of the most unfair. You give everything you have, all day long, and somehow the thing your brain chooses to replay at 11pm is the one moment you felt like you fell short.
Here's what we want you to hear:
The fact that you feel guilty means you care. Deeply. Fiercely. With your whole heart. A mother who didn't care wouldn't lose a single minute of sleep over whether she played enough or was present enough or did enough.
But caring deeply and doing enough are not the same thing as being perfect β and perfect was never the goal.
Your kids don't need a mother who does it all. They need you β imperfect, tired, trying, showing up. And that is exactly what you are doing.
So tonight, when the guilt creeps in, try replacing it with this: I did my best today. My best is enough. My kids are loved. And that is everything. β¨
You are doing better than you think. We promise. π
