SoulShine Studios RVA

SoulShine Studios RVA Here’s the thing—movement isn’t just about exercise; it’s about feeling alive. MOVE FOR YOU: Move in ways that feel good, free, and true to you.

This isn’t about how it looks—it’s about how it feels. This is your playground, not your stage!

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁.

But real community isn't a marketing slogan.

It's the student who notices when you've been gone and checks in.

It's the familiar faces that make walking into a room feel less intimidating.

It's knowing you can arrive exactly as you are and still belong.

We care deeply about movement at SoulShine, but we're equally passionate about the people doing the moving.

The relationships matter.

The support matters.

The feeling of not having to do life alone matters.

If SoulShine has introduced you to someone special, we'd love to hear about it.

We tell ourselves we'll slow down after we finish the project, answer the emails, clean the house, or solve the next problem.

The finish line keeps moving.

At SoulShine, we see movement and rest as partners rather than opposites.

Some days your body needs challenge.

Some days it needs to rest..

Learning the difference is part of building trust with yourself.

The goal isn't to push harder all the time.

The goal is learning how to listen.

How are you making space for yourself this week?

Life is too short to carry the whole week into the weekend.

Most of us spend our days holding it together. Holding deadlines. Holding stress. Holding conversations we wish had gone differently.

This Friday, you can put some of that down.

We'll start with Happy Hour—a chance to connect, catch up, and enjoy being around people who feel good to be around. Then we'll move into Laughter Yoga with Sandee Byrd.

And no, you don't need to be funny.

Laughter Yoga combines intentional laughter, breathwork, movement, and mindfulness in a way that helps your body release tension and remember what joy feels like. It might feel a little silly at first. That's part of the point.

Sometimes the things we need most aren't serious.

Come as you are. Bring a friend. Leave a little lighter than you arrived.

Because the best happy hour might just end in actual happiness.

Message us to reserve your spot.

In a world where so many feels curated and performative, one of the most powerful things about SoulShine is how human it feels.

People come in carrying real life with them. Work stress. Relationship stress. Exhaustion. Big emotions. Awkwardness. Uncertainty. Nobody walks through the doors perfectly put together, and honestly, that’s what makes this community work.

The classes matter, of course. But a lot of the magic happens around the edges of them.

It’s the quick conversations before class starts. The people staying afterward to talk. The shared laughter when nobody can quite get the choreography right. The relief people feel when they realize they do not have to perform here.

There’s something important about being in a room where you can move, breathe, sweat, laugh, and exist without feeling judged.

That’s the kind of community we care about building.

Not one based on image or perfection, but one rooted in honesty, connection, and showing up as you are.

If you’ve been craving spaces that feel more real lately, we’d love to welcome you in.

Tag someone you want beside you in class this week.

Just a friendly reminder that you do not have to become a different version of yourself before you walk into SoulShine.

A lot of people delay coming to class because they think they need to “prepare” first. They tell themselves they need more stamina, more confidence, more flexibility, or a better routine before they deserve to take up space in a movement room.

We honestly wish more people understood that this space was created for the exact moments when life feels messy, overwhelming, exhausting, or disconnected.

People come into class carrying stress from work, grief, burnout, anxiety, tension, self-doubt, and sometimes years of feeling disconnected from their body. Nobody here expects you to hide that.

This is not about performance. It’s about reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels honest.

Some classes leave people sweaty and energized. Some classes help people finally exhale after holding tension all week. Sometimes the biggest win is simply staying present for an hour without feeling the need to numb out or rush through it.

That matters more to us than getting everything right.

You don’t need to earn your way into this space. You just need a willingness to begin.

If you’ve been thinking about trying a class, message us. We’d love to help you find the right fit.

Let’s take a moment to sit, listen, and not do anything else.

This isn’t a concert, and it’s not a typical sound bath. It’s something in between.

Colin MacLeod brings live fiddle music inspired by the Scottish landscape—sounds that feel steady, grounding, and deeply human. You’ll lie down, rest, and let the music move through you without needing to respond to it.

No performance. No expectations.

Just a quiet hour where your system can settle and your mind can take a break from constant input.

Life is too short to only know people through small talk.

Sometimes community looks like barefoot dancing in the studio kitchen.
Paper plates stacked too high.
Someone laughing so hard they snort.
A room full of people passing homemade food around after class while sweat still dries on their skin.

That’s the thing about SoulShine.

People think they’re signing up for a movement.
But somewhere between the breathwork, the music, the shaking out of a hard week, and the nervous first class… walls start dropping.

This studio has held tears in savasana.
Big life changes whispered in corners.
Birthday candles lit between yoga mats and coffee cups.
Bodies learning how to trust themselves again.

And honestly?
That matters more than getting the pose right.

We didn’t build this space for performance.
We built it for realness.

For connections that isn’t filtered.
For people who want to feel something again.

Lu’s birthday brunch reminded us of that.

A potluck table.
Full hearts.
Messy conversations.
Chosen family.
