For Lauren Hoback, LewisGale Regional Health System is more than a workplace, it is a second family. Lauren joined the hospital in 2022. Today, five of her 10 children work alongside her.

From telemetry to women’s services and the progressive care unit, Lauren’s daughters are building their own careers while carrying forward the same sense of belonging that first drew their mother to LewisGale.

Last week, Henrico Doctors' Hospital, part of Henrico, Parham & Retreat Doctors' Hospitals, celebrated 10 years of trauma care at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital and recognized the colleagues who have been part of this program since the beginning.

Since becoming a state-designated Level II Trauma Center on June 8, 2016, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital has cared for more than 15,000 trauma patients, including more than 2,000 in 2025 alone.

🎉✂️ We’re proud to celebrate the ceremonial ribbon cutting of Chesterfield ER on Iron Bridge Road in Chesterfield, Virginia! ✂️🎉

Yesterday marked an exciting milestone as we welcome this new freestanding emergency room, expanding access to emergency care for families across Chesterfield and the surrounding communities. We are wrapping up the final touches and expect to our first patients in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for the official opening!

As part of Chippenham & Johnston-Willis Hospitals, Chesterfield ER is equipped to provide the same high-quality emergency care patients expect, closer to where they live. The facility features:

🏥 10 emergency treatment beds
🚑 A dedicated trauma bay
🧸 Pediatric-friendly care spaces designed with children and families in mind

Last year, HCA Healthcare had 10 million emergency room visits and more than 613,000 of those were in Virginia. When emergencies happen, every minute matters. Freestanding ERs bring 24/7 emergency care closer to home, helping patients receive rapid evaluation and treatment without having to travel farther for critical services. We are growing our footprint from 8 to 11 FSERs in Virginia in 2026. Chesterfield ER and Scott's Walk ER are both opening this summer and Leesburg ER and Imaging in Northern Virginia opens in September.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this special occasion, including our community leaders, first responders, physicians, colleagues, partners and neighbors. Your support and commitment to improving healthcare access in our community made this celebration even more meaningful.
