Move to Include Through programming and special events, the partners hope to create a more inclusive community by encouraging dialogue and increasing public awareness.

Move to IncludeTM spotlights the lived experiences of people with disabilities and important disability issues, including education, healthcare, housing, employment, and more - through television, radio, news, community events, and digital media. WXXI and the Golisano Foundation have joined forces to launch MOVE TO INCLUDE, an initiative designed to promote inclusion for people with intellectual and physical disabilities.

One for the hobbyhorse fans out there 🐴 HORSEGIRLS screens for one week only starting Friday (July 31). Presented with community partner, Move to Include.

As her mother battles an uncertain diagnosis, neurodivergent 22-year-old Margarita discovers a source of strength in an unexpected place: the sport of hobbyhorsing.

Move to Include was launched in 2014 as a partnership between WXXI Public Media in Rochester, NY and the Golisano Foundation, the nation’s largest private foundation devoted to supporting programs for people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.

Mental health agencies around the state are opening new community programs run for and by people with serious mental illness, the result of new state funding.
