BURD Home Health

BURD Home Health BURD Home Health is a leading provider of Medicaid-funded home health care programs. It reduces family caregiver burnout and ease financial burdens on families.

The programs allow people who need care to hire their family members, friends, or anyone else they trust as paid caregivers, and the caregivers are paid by Medicaid. Self-direction helps individuals who need help with daily living activities to maintain their freedom and independence through home-based care services which they choose and manage themselves. Among the most popular forms of self-dire

ction is the ability to hire a family member or friend as a personal care aide rather than having a stranger in your home or being placed into institutional care. Medicaid home health care programs make it possible to manage their care and compensate the caregivers for the time and energy they provide. At the core of self-direction is the belief that individuals receiving care know their needs better than anyone else and should be empowered to control any aspects of their care as they prefer.

At BURD Home Health, our mission is to support families caring for their loved ones.
Your Relationship Manager guide you through the enrollment process, help with paperwork, and explain each step so you can access the care and benefits you need.
Once you are enrolled, our team continues to support you by helping with verifications, payroll, and any program updates or changes. By compensating caregivers for their time and effort, these programs help reduce financial stress and make caregiving more sustainable for families and we are proud to be able to facilitate this support.

Families can transition between home health care agencies when they are in the Medicaid long term care programs. It could be a lot of work but if you are switching over to BURD, our Relationship Managers take care of most of the paperwork for you and provide human assistance for any part of it that might seem too much.

Beyond enrollment, this support continues throughout your time in the home care journey with regular check ins, direct contact to your Relationship Managers, and communications about any updates and changes.

Caring for a family member or a loved one specially if it your first time can be overwhelming. While yes, you could be helping them with daily chores, bathing, or travel, it can involve more if they have any chronic physical or cognitive issues.

You should not hesitate to ask questions so that you can understand what you need to do on a daily basis and/or during any emergency. These are some basic questions that you can start with when you are talking to their doctors. It is always better to be informed than assume.

Leah is guilty…of being the BURD of the month!
We are excited to celebrate her and everything she does for her team and BURD. The allegations are true - she always goes above and beyond and we are truly grateful for it.
