Our administrator, Tagg Petersen, is learning to love gardening. And while a few of his plants haven't fared so well (☠️😬), his tomatoes are thriving! 🍅

"My garden has taught me that everything has a season, and each plant needs its own type of care,” he said.

Like gardening, we all have unique needs that require individualized care. It's helpful to remember this when we interact with each other; especially with seniors who may be facing a new season with new needs.

bingo is great because we play Stars and Stripes bingo (cover the top, middle and bottom rows (stripes) to make a bingo)! We also listened to “America the Beautiful”, “God Bless the USA” and other patriotic favs while working in some Memorial Day trivia.

Fun fact: Did you know Memorial Day used to be called Decoration Day because families would decorate the graves of fallen soldiers?

Our friends at Liberty Heights Gracious Retirement Living will be hosting an ice cream social on Thursday, May 14th, 2-4pm where visitors can come see what makes life at Liberty Heights so rewarding.
