Fall is just around the corner, and flu season is not far behind.

By October, flu often begins spreading in schools, workplaces and other community settings. For people living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease or asthma, the flu can lead to more serious illness.

The flu shot is available now and is covered through OHP. Many pharmacies offer flu shots without an appointment, making it easy to protect yourself before flu season begins.

Getting your flu shot now can help protect you and the people around you this fall.

A good summer lunch, courtesy of two local Roseburg businesses. 🌭🥤

We brought Jime's Hotdogs and The Bubblin’ Bear out to treat our team this July, and both were a hit.

If you're in Roseburg, give them a try. Jime's brought the hot dogs, and The Bubblin' Bear kept the drinks coming with dirty sodas.

Flu season is just around the corner, and now is a good time to get your flu shot.

Getting vaccinated before flu begins spreading in the community can help protect you and the people around you. This is especially important for older adults, young children, pregnant people and people living with certain chronic health conditions.

Flu shots are covered through OHP. If you are eligible, getting your flu shot may also qualify for a $15 Sherm's Thunderbird Market gift card through the Prevention First Incentive Program.

Many pharmacies and primary care offices offer flu shots. Contact your healthcare provider or pharmacy to learn more.

Our team stepped outside this week for some sunshine, time to catch up with coworkers and shave ice from Wailani shave ice and island grindz.

It was a nice chance to spend time together away from our desks and enjoy one of the last stretches of summer.

Understanding your healthcare is important.

If you have ever left a medical appointment with questions about what your provider said, interpreter services can help.

If you are more comfortable speaking a language other than English, you have the right to a free interpreter at your medical appointments through OHP. A professional interpreter can help you better understand your diagnosis, treatment options and care plan, and help you ask questions during your visit.

Call your doctor's office before your appointment and ask for an interpreter. They will make the arrangements.
