Scams are getting smarter, and they do not always look suspicious anymore.

There was a time when scams were easier to spot. Bad grammar, strange email addresses, and obvious red flags made them stand out.

That is not the case anymore.

Today’s scams can look like a real text from your bank, a phone call from what appears to be a trusted number, a website that looks legitimate, or even a fake job opportunity.

That is exactly why so many people and organizations get caught off guard.

For a business, it only takes one rushed response to create a much bigger problem. A shared code, a clicked link, or a payment sent too quickly can lead to financial loss, compromised accounts, privacy concerns, compliance risks, and workflow disruption.

One of the best habits to reinforce with your team is simple: pause and verify.

Before responding to any urgent message about money, passwords, account access, or sensitive information, take a moment to confirm it through a trusted source. That extra step can prevent a lot of unnecessary damage.

Scam awareness is no longer just a personal safety reminder. It is part of protecting your organization, your employees, and the people who trust you.

Here we grow again! This is not a misspell but an indication of sweat and growth. We (Panacea Alliance) are looking for a Psych Nurse Practitioner for our St. Augustine Clinic. This is a full-time position that incorporates telemedicine as part of the schedule. We are also looking at a part-time psychiatrist that will be mostly use on telemedicine appointments. Protecting Florida’s Families: The Risk of "Unlicensed" Overseas Contractors 🛡️

Recent news from the Florida Insurance Commissioner has sent shockwaves through our healthcare community. Mirra Health was suspended for sending the private data of 23,000 Medicare members to unlicensed companies overseas.

What exactly is an "Unlicensed Company"? Think of it as a company playing by its own rules. Without a Florida license, these companies aren't overseen by our state regulators. If a breach happens in a country like India or the Philippines, our local authorities have almost no power to step in and protect our residents.

What’s changing in 2026? The new HIPAA requirements will soon mandate that every healthcare business has a clear, visual map of their network.

• You will be required to know—and prove—exactly where your data goes.
• "Addressable" safeguards are becoming required.
• Using unlicensed subcontractors without permission is now being labeled "extremely reckless" by state officials.

My Advice for 2026: Check your contracts. If your administrative partner is using "subsidiaries" to save money, make sure those subsidiaries are licensed and that you have given written permission for that data to move.
