Hello, September! Hello, Everyone!

A new month is here, a gentle invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and come home to yourself.

As we transition into a new season, take a moment to ask yourself:

What is my mind, body, and spirit asking for right now?

Perhaps it’s rest.
Perhaps it’s release.
Perhaps it’s clarity, grounding, or simply a safe space to pause and reconnect with yourself.

Welcome to a new month filled with fresh beginnings, new opportunities, and gentle reminders to care for ourselves along the way.

As we step into August, may we embrace this season with gratitude for how far we've come and courage for what lies ahead. Whether you're focusing on personal growth, healing, building your business, or simply finding moments of peace in your daily life, I hope this month brings you clarity, abundance, and renewed energy.

This month, I'll be taking some time off to rest and enjoy the summer before Fall arrives. I will be open only a few days for healing sessions. My September schedule is open now as well for booking.

Thank you from the depths of our hearts for inviting Hono Bono Healing to share our healing work and the ways holistic, culturally rooted practices can nurture advocates and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. It was a sacred honor to gather in community to hold space for healing, reflection, and renewal today in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

To those who walk alongside survivors every day, thank you for the compassion, courage, and love you bring to this work. We recognize the emotional and spiritual weight you carry, and we hope the healing practices shared today serve as a gentle invitation to return to yourself—to restore your spirit, ground your energy, and remember that you, too, deserve care and healing.

May you continue to walk with the guidance of your heart, the strength of your community, and the light within your own spirit. Thank you for allowing Hono Bono Healing to be part of your journey. It is our hope that the seeds of healing planted together continue to grow, bringing peace, resilience, and balance to you, your loved ones, and all those whose lives you touch.

There is something deeply beautiful about bringing art and craft into the healing journey. Creating with our hands invites us to slow down, be present, and reconnect with ourselves. Every brushstroke, stitch, collage, or handmade piece becomes an expression of the heart—a gentle reminder that healing isn't only found in stillness, but also in the joy of creating.

May you find time to create and find joy in creating. May you allow yourself to play and enjoy yourself playing whether it's playing with paper, making art and taking a moment to breathe and let it be through creating.

Note: Before Hono Bono Healing, I healed myself being a creative artist playing with paper, stickers, glue, putting paper pieces together, creating something with my two hands. I had multiple junk journals. I loved making collages. I love writing and creating with paper.

There are moments that remind me why I do this work, and this was one of them.

Gathered on the Bde Maka Ska beach with the soothing sound of the waves, a beautiful view of a body of water, we shared an evening of rest, reflection, and renewal through sound healing before releasing our floating lanterns. Watching everyone slow down, breathe deeply, set their intentions, and simply be present was incredibly meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me to hold this space. Your openness, your stories, your quiet moments of healing, and your smiles made the evening so special. It was a beautiful reminder that healing doesn’t have to happen alone—it can happen in community, surrounded by nature and one another.

As the lanterns drifted across the water, I hope each one carried with it a prayer, a hope, a memory, or something you were ready to release. May you continue to find peace, clarity, and gentle moments of renewal wherever your journey takes you.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to the planning team of the Floating Lanterns and Asian Street Food Night Market in having Hono Bono Healing as part of such a beautiful event. Thank you to all participants and community members for coming to be part of an amazing evening.
