We were ⭐️ thrilled ⭐️ that this explicitly includes ending the abusive practices of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and even more so that the chosen setting for this release was an indy pharmacy❣️

Great for wall decor, a gift, greeting card, or to mail as an actual postcard, these small prints offer a glimpse into Ruby’s adventures in nature and conservation photography work across her time living in Minnesota, the Pacific Northwest, and Alaska.

Congrats to the winner of our Storm Drain Naming Contest, who helped us find the ⭐️PERFECT⭐️ names for the drains we've now officially adopted through Adopt-a-Drain MN!

Neighbors, meet Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Mel—the first 3 are, of course, Donald Duck's nephews, and the last was the nickname of our maternal grandfather, Melvin, who was a cherished member of our at SPCD and lifelong lover of the Donald Duck corner of the Disney universe.

He passed away in August, just before his 84th birthday, in his home and surrounded by us and the rest of our extended family. Once again (our grandmother died in the very same living room in 2016), we were honored to be a part of another human's transition out of this realm, and humbled by the incredible gift of hospice and end-of-life caregivers.

He is SO missed by our family and staff, and we are so grateful we ended up getting to, unexpectedly, honor him through this little experiment of ours 💜

Last week we found ourselves overwhelmed (in the best way 🥹) with community supplies sent to us from people out of state (and even outside the U.S.!) via an Amazon wishlist set up by some new friends of ours from Chicago who, despite struggling with ICE’s presence in their own town, are both regularly visiting in person and providing Minnesotans with guidance and a listening ear from afar.

This shipment included everything from handwarmers and winter gear to medic supplies, foodstuffs, and things needed for folks being released from the Whipple federal building. We are actively working with partner organizations like Zion Community Commons, Rising Waters, North Star Health Collective, and Freedom Street Health to get these and future shipments into the hands of those who need it most, as well as setting up a framework so that these communities might continue to get at least some of what they need from a local small business (us!) instead of corporate entities like Amazon.com, Target, CVS Pharmacy, and Walgreens.

We are so utterly grateful to all who are supporting this movement across our state, country, and world. Comment below to send some Minnie love back their way! 💙

This Friday, January 23rd, our state is going ON STRIKE. We’ve decided not to close, but in every other way stand in solidarity with our fellow community members demanding that ICE leave our beautiful state and be held accountable for their atrocities, which have impacted undocument folks and legal U.S. citizens alike. Their surge in activity has never been about safety—it’s been about control, chaos, and power, not to mention racial and cultural discrimation.
