r own lives and those of the people around them and by extension, the world. Astrology clarifies our place in the universe; it reminds and connects us with an order that is greater than our own personal understanding. Visiting an astrologer is a commitment to self-knowledge and personal empowerment. Working with planets as symbols and systems of energy, we can discover deep transformative insights about who we are, how our life reflects that, and how to change. Astrology enhances our understanding of ourselves and our life experiences. Moon is particularly gifted in using astrology to support her clients as they:

- Enhance their healing and self-discovery processes
- Seek greater clarity in their relationships, especially parents looking for insight and managing transitions with their children
- Add to their families through adoption

In addition to her vibrant and growing professional practice, Moonrabbit developed a Three-Year Training Program teaching students to develop their astrological interpretation and consulting skills. The program covers material from the level of beginner to professional Astrologer. Her program has, to date, graduated approximately 100 students. Because of her passionate commitment to her profession, Moonrabbit is continually broadening and deepening her own professional skills along with contributing to the growth and public understanding of the profession of Astrology as a whole. She has been published in a leading professional astrological journal, has written a teaching manual, a book on eclipses, and has another book in process. Highly respected in the community and in the local media, she has been frequently interviewed on Minneapolis and St. Paul television and radio, and does an annual New Year prediction public event that is enthusiastically anticipated each year. Additionally, she is on the board of directors for the Organization for Professional Astrologers, and a member in four of the major national and international professional associations specific to astrology: the National Council for Geocosmic Research, the International Society for Astrological Research, the Organization for Professional Astrologers, and the Minnesota Astrological group, STARS and has been certified by the Organization for Professional Astrologers. I began studying astrology five decades ago because I was looking for a deeper way to understand myself, other people and life’s unfolding. When I lost my twin sister Lou Ann in 2005, I understood astrology quite well and found that the planets offered something I hadn't known I needed: a map. Not a map that told me when I would stop hurting, but one that helped me understand why certain moments cracked me open, what that pain was asking of me, and where I might be able to heal.

A death chart is a chart for the date, place and time of death: a natal chart studied through the lens of loss. It is a way of asking: what did this death mean in the arc of a soul's life? What was being completed, transformed, or released? The Solar eclipses, transits of Pluto, Uranus, Saturn, the nodes of the moon — these are the planets and symbols that speak to endings, and they speak in a language of extraordinary depth and soulfulness.

When Lou Ann was dying, I looked at both our charts almost every day. I watched as Uranus moved into an exact opposition with her natal Sun— Uranus, the Great Awakener polarized with the Sun, representing core identity. And I saw something I had not expected: it wasn't only a chart of ending. It was a chart of becoming. Both of us were waking up spiritually and opening to a new paradigm. Lou Ann to whatever lies beyond life, and me to a new chapter of life lived as a singleton that would take me in unexpected directions.

I've worked with clients who came to me years after a devastating loss, still tangled in grief they couldn't move through. When we looked at the charts—the chart of the moment of death and their own natal chart — something would shift. They would see the loss not as a rupture in the story of their life, but as a chapter the universe had written with great intention. That reframe doesn't erase grief. But it can transform grief's relationship to meaning, and meaning, I have learned, is one of the factors that allows us to go on.

Death Charts grew out of decades of this work — my own losses, my clients' losses, and my deep conviction that astrology is one of the most powerful tools available to people navigating this difficult terrain of a human life. In these pages, I'll walk you through how to read the astrological signatures of death and dying, how to find meaning in the timing of loss, and how the chart of someone you've loved and lost can continue to speak to you — and through you — long after they are gone.

The stars have always known about loss. They have been charting it since long before we had words for what we were feeling. This book is my attempt to teach you to read what they have written.

After the pile-up of last month’s Aries planets, the Ta**us new moon arrives like a long much needed exhale. On May 16, 2026, at 26 degrees of Ta**us, the Sun and Moon are conjunct both Mercury and Ceres, all gathered in the most embodied, sensory sign of the zodiac. Where the Aries new moon pushed us to act, be brave, and begin, this lunation invites us to slow down, return to our bodies, and take the long view.

Ta**us is a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus, governing the physical world: our bodies, our food, our money, our values, and the land itself. Where Aries focuses on action, Ta**us pays attention to nurturing, and self-care. This new moon offers a chance to reset, and to plant seeds in soil rather than in fire.

Hello everyone,

First, I want to thank those of you who have shared how much it helps you to receive my monthly updates. You might have noticed I missed sending out a newsletter last month. I have been overwhelmed trying to understand what is happening astrologically and convey it to you in a way that is helpful. Shortly after the No Kings March here in St. Paul, and then today, April 13, 2026, with the defeat of Viktor Orban in Hungary, I believe the political tide is turning. It may take until inauguration day 2029, but I believe that democracy will prevail.

We are finally on the far side of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at zero Aries on February 20, 2026. This was a symbol for the dissolution (Neptune) of an existing order (Saturn), and I had fears that the existing order would be our democracy. At that time, we were deep inside the occupation of the Twin Cities area by ICE. It seemed we were well on our way of living in a military state. But our communities rallied to support our neighbors and everyone I knew and spoke with took risks and changed their daily lives to make a difference. By March 28, 2026, the day of No Kings Saturn and Neptune were three degrees apart, enough to make a difference.

Now, to the astrology of this month: The new moon on April 17, 2026, corresponds with a Saturn-Mars-Mercury-Neptune conjunction alongside a Sun-Moon-Chiron conjunction, with all seven planets in Aries. That’s a lot of fire, along with combinations of complex astrological energies.
