Meet Hans Erickson MSEd, LPCC! Hans is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Co-Leader of our DBT Program at Natalis. He offers both tele-health and in-person appointments out of our St. Paul location.

Hans believes everyone has the capacity to change, and that his role is to help people live their best, most fulfilled life. His approach is integrative and adaptive. He draws from his training in Psychodynamic Therapy to help people gain insight into how they have come to be the way they are, DBT to help people assess and use skill to make changes in their present and future lives, Trauma-Informed Therapy to help people heal from traumatic events in their past, and Attachment-Based and Systems Theory to help explain how the structures of people’s past have influenced the way they behave and feel. In addition to this, Hans has a particular interest in helping people manage their issues within relationships such as fear of abandonment, co-dependence, boundary setting, and enmeshment.

Hans has a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Science in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music in Boston. In previous iterations of his working life, he has been a commercial composer, a musical artist, an audio engineer, a teacher, an educational consultant, and a donut maker. Meet the Team Monday!

Meet Dr. Jennifer Boike Armerding, Psy.D., LP. Jennifer is a clinical psychologist and Neuropsychologist who works out of our Woodbury location, offering both tele-health and in person appointments.

Jennifer works with a wide range of ages – from preschoolers to older adults – and views her job is to help clients answer questions they have about themselves or their loved ones. Some clients come to an evaluation with specific questions (like, “Does my child have ADHD?” or “Is there something wrong with my memory?”). Sometimes, though, it can be hard to know exactly what you want to know! Whether your questions are clear or cloudy, you and Jennifer will work together to determine what exactly you are hoping to understand, and then collaborate in a process of discovery to help you learn new information and begin making positive changes in your life. Depending on what you are hoping to gain from an evaluation, you might explore brain style, personality, relationships, learning or thinking skills, or your emotional life. You and Jennifer will combine your expertise on your own life with the tools of psychological testing to develop a plan for helping you make progress, reach goals, and move forward in whatever ways are most meaningful to you.

Jennifer earned her doctorate in clinical psychology (The Chicago School of Professional Psychology) following her bachelor’s (New York University, NYC) and master’s degrees (Columbia University, NYC), also in psychology. Her background includes work in neuropsychological and psychological testing across the lifespan, as well as child and family therapy and severe mental illness.

In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, dreaming about her garden, Indian food, and curling up with a good book and her purr-factory of a cat. She lives in the woods of Western Wisconsin with her husband and 3 kids, and spends many weekends having living room dance parties to 90s music.

If you are interested in scheduling a session with Jennifer, please call us at 651-379-5157 or email us at [email protected]!
