I got Mary Zeiser- Williams out for a short ride in the nice cooler weather yesterday. She is doing pretty good after her recent chemo treatment. Some more headaches but no other pain or nausea. The memory and confusion still seem to be getting a little worse.
Her next bloodwork, oncology doc appt and infusion/chemo treatment is in a couple weeks. So hopefully this treatment plan keeps going good, seems to be better than when she was on the chemo pills. 🙏🤞🍀

I forgot to add this to my earlier long ass post. Mary Zeiser- Williams called me this afternoon while I was at work and asked me what I wanted from McDs because her sis was going to get them lunch. I told her I was at work and she said oh yeah I forgot I thought you were downstairs. 😢
Her sisters even told her a few times I was at work, she has absolutely NO short term memory.
I always give her trouble and yell out “ SQUIRREL” 🐿️ all the time when she gets distracted 😝
Oh yeah…..FUUUUCCCCK cancer!!!!

I usually go into work 1 day a week to work in the office but they have been super flexible, they always tell me family first, they have been so amazing through this all.
The last 2 weeks I strictly worked from home because of Mary’s appts a couple weeks ago and then last week with chemo I wanted to make sure she didn’t get sick. So today her sisters came down to hang out with Mary and I went into work.
It was a rough morning for Mary Zeiser- Williams & our youngest 😢 before her sisters came over.
Usually she just sleeps until they get there but unfortunately she woke up before that and decided to go upstairs to the bathroom and I wasn’t sure if she needed help or what so I called Ella to go check on her. And for some reason Mary does not want help from her at all and she always fights with her and make things difficult. I guess her brain thinks the daughter is just a kid and she can’t help. Mary’s favorite line is “you’re not the boss of me!” I tried to talk to her through the cameras and she wasn’t having that either, she showed me I was #1 🖕🏻
I just feel so terrible for our daughter she doesn’t deserve to have to go through this as a teenager 😢 We know she doesn’t mean any of it but I’m sure it takes a toll on Ella, I’ve got a lot thicker skin and can handle it.

This afternoon I told Mary Zeiser- Williams I was headed up to shave & shower. About halfway through my shower I heard the alarm door chime go off? I grabbed my phone and checked the cameras and saw her open the front door and look out and close it. Then I looked at the rest of the cameras and couldn’t find her in the house 😲 So I hurried out of the shower to yell downstairs for her and luckily she said she was in the bathroom 🤦‍♂️ She said she was looking for me and forgot where I was 😱
I should have checked on her in between, live & learn, something new everyday on this journey.

It was a great Friday family dinner night. Had most of the kids over, our nieces & their hubbies and Ms. Olivia, she’s so cute. We actually got Mary Zeiser- Williams in the pool tonight, the water was just right for her at 87 degrees. She was smiling and chatting it up with everyone. No pics though, I’m getting forgetful in my old age OR I think Mary is rubbing off on me 😝

I hope I don’t jinx Mary Zeiser- Williams but she had a good night! And today she is feeling good too just tired, yep she’s napping now. But she did get up early and went out on the screen porch with Herc this morning before breakfast and then we headed to her new primary doc visit. She loves to wear her bib her sister got her with every meal, yep she can be a little messy sometimes 😝
But it seems like her memory and confusion have gotten SO MUCH worse here lately and unfortunately I’m sure it’s the new Glio growth, burrowing its tentacles throughout her brain 😢. We are hopeful this new chemo drug kicks it ass and she stays nausea free and strong through the process.
Oh yeah one more thing…..F**K cancer!

Mary Zeiser- Williams’ infusion and chemo treatment went good today. She’s feeling good…knock on wood. Hopefully she keeps feeling good later 🍀🙏🤞
