Coffee, conversation and dental medical integration in action ☕

This year, you've likely heard the term dental medical integration (DMI) more than once. At its core, DMI is about connecting oral health with overall health to better support the whole person.

Our recent menopause awareness pop-up with Midi Health is a great example. Together, we helped educate women about an often-overlooked connection: the impact menopause can have on oral health.

The Carry the Load walks are underway this week across our offices.

Organized in partnership with our MPACT and Family First Inclusion Communities, this event has grown from a virtual tradition into in-person walks at offices across the country.

This is the team behind our 2026 Senior Oral Health Summit, a landmark symposium in Washington DC, that brough100 national leaders together to examine the oral health crisis facing America's older adults.

The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation is addressing this crisis through the Senior Oral Health Partnership Program — a $20 million, multi-year initiative across four regional innovation "labs": Washington, D.C.; the Mississippi Delta; Santa Cruz County, CA; and San Diego County, CA. Each community controls its own $5 million, five-year investment, reflecting the Foundation's commitment to community-led decision-making and power-shifting philanthropy. The program integrates direct clinical care, workforce development, community outreach, and policy advocacy.

Through this and other philanthropic programs, the Foundation's goal is to reach one million older adults by 2030.

Earth Day in action. 🌎 Jasmine, Customer Advocate in General Commercial Operations, spent her morning at the American River Parkway in Sacramento removing invasive Bamboo and Spanish Broom to help native plants reclaim their space. Three hours, a lot of pulled roots, and a cleaner stretch of river.
