Today we honor Juneteenth and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of freedom, justice, and collective liberation.

Assata Shakur writes, “Any community seriously concerned with its own freedom has to be concerned about other peoples' freedom as well.” This reminds us that liberation is interconnected and freedom cannot exist in isolation. No community can be fully emancipated when ignoring or accepting the oppression of others.

We are committed to affirming the dignity and humanity of all people while recognizing the ongoing impact of systemic racism, anti-Blackness, and the many forms of oppression — rooted in race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, disability, and immigration status — that continue to shape people's lives and limit access to freedom and healing. Today and always we want to celebrate the rich diversity of our communities and support the collective work of creating a world where freedom, belonging, and healing are accessible to everyone.

Happy Pride Month to everyone who celebrates 🌈

To those who are out and proud, and to those who are not ready or able to come out yet.

To those who are discovering, rediscovering, and evolving in their identities throughout life.

To those living authentically in whatever ways feel right and safe for their sexual and gender identities.

To the people in our history and communities who we have lost, but will never forget.

To the allies, friends, partners, and family members who continue to show up with love and support.

And to all who celebrate Pride in their own way — we see you, we honor you, and we celebrate you.

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

mindfulSF is a q***r woman-owned therapy practice that is affirming of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. We embrace and celebrate multicultural diversity, intersectional identities, and the many ways people experience and express who they are.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to gently remind you: you don’t have to carry everything on your own.

Mental health is an essential part of our overall well-being, yet it’s often the first thing we neglect when life feels overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you don’t have to manage it alone.

Mental health matters. Prioritizing your mental health can look like pausing to check in with yourself, asking for support, setting boundaries, taking a breath, practicing meditation, or beginning therapy.

At mindfulSF, our therapists offer compassionate, evidence-based support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and more. We’re here to help you better understand yourself, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change.

Healing doesn’t always happen all at once. It begins with one small step.
