A story from a special education teacher who participated in my Lesley University Professional Learning Network (PLN)🥲

As educators, it’s not our job to figure out why a student is acting a certain way. (We'll probably never know all the reasons why.)

But by learning and adopting a trauma-sensitive approach, we can pause, reflect, and shift how we reach students who are struggling.

This PLN took things one step further. Teachers shared real-life situations, and I led conversations about possible strategies and solutions.

I’m proud of the educators putting this work into practice. Which students do you find the hardest to reach?

Which card are you drawn to? ✨ Take a breath, trust your intuition, and drop 1–4 below 👇

Each number holds a message + self-care invitation for you today:

1️⃣ The Pioneer — New beginnings, leadership, fresh starts
→ Take one bold step. Stop waiting for permission and trust yourself.

2️⃣ The Harmonizer — Balance, patience, divine timing
→ Slow down. Rest, receive, and trust that things are unfolding as they should.

3️⃣ The Creator — Joy, expression, abundance
→ Move your body, create, laugh. Let play lead the way.

4️⃣ The Anchor — Stability, grounding, strength
→ Tend to your body and space. Ground yourself in what feels safe and steady.

The right message always finds you 💫

It’s a wrap on my Professional Learning Network with Lesley University!

This four-part series brought together experienced educators for problem-solving and support beyond the school day.

We focused on this question: How do we create school environments where everyone, no matter their background, feels safe, seen, and truly belongs?

Thanks to my alma mater for inviting me to lead this continuing education opportunity, the guest experts who joined us, and to the amazing participants!

As the weather warms up, let's spend some time outdoors. Here are some ways to practice mindfulness outside.

Practicing mindfulness can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, improve emotional regulation, promote better sleep, lower blood pressure, and increase focus and cognitive function.
