💙 Aging in Place: Empowering Seniors to Live Safely and Independently 💙

This week, Comfort Keepers was proud to participate in an Aging in Place event at the Holmdel Senior Center alongside several wonderful local organizations dedicated to supporting older adults in our community.

It was a rewarding opportunity to connect with seniors and their families, share valuable resources, and discuss the many options available to help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, and joined the conversation. We are honored to be part of a community that values dignity, independence, and quality of life for seniors.

Thank you to Artis Senior Living for inviting Comfort Keepers of Central Jersey to be part of such a meaningful event supporting Alzheimer's awareness and care.

We were honored to connect with families, community partners, and advocates who share a commitment to improving the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

Events like these remind us how important community support, education, and compassionate care are for both seniors and their loved ones.

Last fall, a daughter from Woodbridge called us while sitting in her car.

She had been caring for her mother around the clock for a week and admitted she was sitting in the driveway before going back inside—just to get a minute to herself.

🐾💙 Joy Between Generations: Supporting Marty’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary 💙🐾

This month, our Comfort Keepers team had the privilege of visiting Marty’s Place Senior Dog Sanctuary in Upper Freehold, NJ, and spending time with Doreen and her incredible team. We were inspired by the love, compassion, and dedication they show every day to senior dogs who deserve a safe, loving home in their golden years.

We are honored to announce that Marty’s Place will be the beneficiary of our upcoming Comfort Keepers National Day of Joy celebration!

What touched us most is how closely their mission reflects our own. Marty’s Place not only provides lifelong care for senior dogs who have lost their homes, but through their Senior Pet Assistance Program, they also help seniors on fixed incomes keep their beloved pets at home by assisting with veterinary care, medications, and other essential needs.

At Comfort Keepers, we believe in helping seniors remain where they are happiest — in the homes they love, surrounded by the people, memories, and companions that matter most. Marty’s Place shares that same belief.

Animals have a special way of bringing people together, creating connections that span generations. Whether you're young or young at heart, there's something truly joyful about the unconditional love of a dog.
