Just a thought...💭
In a wellness world where it’s ‘kinda chic’ to shout loudly that what you know/how you coach/the programs you write/the certifications you hold/the results you guarantee is better/best/superior...
..we’ve lost the plot 🕵️♀️
Heck. I’ve been guilty of this too 🙋♀️
When I first started training I pushed HIIT workouts on everyone because that’s how I trained myself 🥵
I believed there was right/wrong form and good/bad movements ❌✔️
I barely even want to share this...but I even agreed that, “we all have the same 24 hrs...just make the time” 🫣The CRINGIEST of the cringe, yikes😱 Please forgive me 🙏🏻
5 years of training people every day has taught me a lot. But the most valuable thing I’ve learned is that asking someone how they feel instead of assuming what they need creates a relationship centered on trust and collaboration 🫶🏻✨
Most humans want to feel comfortable, brave and empowered to explore their unique (often complicated) relationship with movement and their body far more than they need the ‘perfect program’ (spoiler: this doesn’t exist) or perfect form (another spoiler: this also doesn’t exist) or to be told 1,456 conflicting shoulds/shouldn’ts by different people in the field (unfortunately we all know this exists 😵💫)
Let’s stay curious, ask more and assume less, and lean into connection 😘🤩♥️
