Wishing good luck to Dr Gailey, MarSue (nurse coordinator) and Jessie (SLP) at their talk tomorrow at the Inland Northwest Dental Conference! They will be speaking on cleft surgery and dentistry, dental roles for team care and indications for tongue tie release.

Deacon and Fox both had their cleft lips reconstructed 3 weeks ago by Dr Gailey. Deacon had a right sided cleft and Fox’s was on his left. Both have healed wonderfully! Deacon has slightly more scar contracture, but will relax over the next several months with wound care and massage. We are so happy for them and their families!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Merveille, who has been named a 2026 Local and National Children’s Miracle Network Champion for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Providence Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital 💛

Merveille’s journey began before she was even born, and her strength has been evident every step of the way. From early challenges with feeding and time spent in the NICU, to her cleft palate repair and ongoing care with our multidisciplinary team—she has shown resilience, courage, and a bright spirit that inspires us all.

Today, Merveille is thriving—and now she’s using her voice to represent children across the country who receive care through Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

We are honored to walk alongside her and her family on this journey. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. 💙

The team saw Summer at her cleft team visit yesterday. She was working hard on her homework and studying in between seeing all the providers. Later that day, Summer and her team competed at their scholastic book competition—and they made it all the way to the finals! They worked so hard and even created their own t-shirts for their team!

We are so incredibly proud of Summer for her hard work, confidence, and determination. Moments like these remind us that our craniofacial kids are warriors and capable of anything they set their minds to.

Way to go, Summer!!

Last week, little Deacon, just 7 days old, met his cleft team for the very first time! His parents first met with Dr. Gailey and nurse MarSue before he was even born- learning, preparing, and finding comfort in knowing that a dedicated team would be ready the moment he arrived.

We were so excited to meet his sweet face and begin this cleft care journey together. Each baby's first visit is more than a medical appointment- it's the start of a relationship built on trust, compassion, and lifelong support.

Congrats to Enzo!! He turned one last month and finished the busy first year of his cleft reconstruction!! He has only needed two surgeries, one for his lip reconstruction and the second for his cleft palate. Both were completed by Dr Gailey. He will now see the team in 6-8 months for continued evaluation. We are so proud of you buddy😁😁
