A DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan is one of the most accurate ways to measure body composition, including body fat, lean muscle mass, and bone density. While BMI (Body Mass Index) is commonly used as a general health indicator, it only considers height and weight—and does not show what your weight is actually made of.

🔍 How DEXA helps in relation to BMI:
• Goes beyond BMI: BMI provides a general category (underweight, normal, overweight, obese), but DEXA reveals the detailed breakdown behind that number

• Measures true body fat: DEXA calculates exact body fat percentage instead of estimating based on weight alone
