After the beautiful experience and impact of our last community outreach, EcoHealth Global is back again, this time in collaboration with RAPHVIC International School, to bring essential healthcare closer to another community in Mowe.

☀️ The heat isn’t just uncomfortable it can be dangerous.

As temperatures rise, your body can lose fluids faster and become vulnerable to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke.

💧 Drink water regularly.
🧢 Stay cool and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
🏠 Take breaks in shaded or cool places.
👶 Pay extra attention to children, older adults, and other vulnerable people.

🚨 Know the warning signs and don’t ignore them.

Stay cool. Stay hydrated. Stay safe.

HEALTH UPDATE: KNOW THE WARNING SIGNS OF LASSA FEVER
Lassa fever can begin like an ordinary illness, which is why recognizing the symptoms and seeking medical care early matters.
Fever, headache, weakness, sore throat, vomiting and diarrhoea can occur.
Prevention starts at home: reduce rodent access, protect food from contamination, keep your surroundings clean, and practise good hygiene.
If you develop symptoms after possible exposure, don't wait for the illness to become severe before seeking medical attention.

☀️ EXTREME HEAT IS A HEALTH RISK.

Hot weather can do more than make you uncomfortable. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion and potentially life-threatening heatstroke.

🚨 Watch out for severe headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, confusion or fainting.

💧 Drink water regularly.
🏠 Stay somewhere cool.
⏰ Avoid strenuous activities during peak heat.
👵🏽👶🏽 Check on children, older adults and vulnerable people.
