🐎💕 You probably didn’t know that one of my first side gigs after grad school was in equine-assisted therapy at in Northwest Arkansas. Other than what I do now, it was the best job I ever had. Yesterday, thanks to and .czarnowsky, I had the absolute pleasure to be a participant in a similar program run by . It was very restorative for me. My horse, Samson, chose me - walked right up to me and said “yo, looks like you could use some snuggles, wanna hang?”. Throughout the afternoon, he kept nudging and “kissing” me, especially on the healing incision on my neck from my total thyroidectomy earlier this month. He let me hug his body constantly. He was especially curious about my sunglasses and kept trying to take them 😂 Please consider animal-assisted therapy if you are struggling. You never know how it will help you - but the animals, they certainly do. 🐴❤️🐴
