College drop-off: when everything you’ve ever hoped and prayed for becomes the very thing that guts you.
Pulling away was never going to be easy… because I just love you so so much.
Take the very best care of your precious self. Can’t wait to see you soon.
😘, mom

Tried really really hard to create something they would always want to come home to…
but I think they did that for themselves… and for me, too.
Grateful beyond measure.
It’s O-H-I-O time now. 🤍❤️

Montana had been on our travel wish list for a long time and after spending the last few years abroad, it bubbled to the top for both of us.
From hiking, fishing, kayaking, white water rafting, horseback riding, a cattle drive, exploring Yellowstone, a UTV ride to a ghost town, our first rodeo, a concert, spa time, forest bathing, sound baths, breathtaking properties and beauty as far as the eye could see… every day brought something new.
Montana delivered everything we hoped for and so much more. Grateful for our time there. 🤍

My first summer longevity hack?
A weekend away with my all-in friend. 🤍
You know the kind…
The yes-to-the-extra-trip friend.
The yes-to-the-cake and yes-to-the-hike friend.
The one who somehow gets the reservation.
The one who gives you the seat with the better view.
The one who brings you coffee with the exact milk you like before you’re even out of bed because she noticed.
The one you can tell everything to.
The one you laugh with so hard because somehow you still can’t manage to take a normal selfie after all these years.
The friend who makes life feel bigger, lighter, more adventurous, and somehow more comfortable all at the same time.
We spend so much time talking about longevity…what to eat, how to move, what supplements to take, how to optimize every part of our health.
And while those things matter, some of the strongest research on living a longer, healthier life keeps pointing back to something much simpler:
The quality of our relationships.
The people who make us feel seen.
The people who help us laugh more.
The people who remind us to say yes to life.

So here’s your reminder that investing in your friendships isn’t just good for your soul, it may be one of the healthiest things you ever do.

Everyone deserves an all-in friend.
I’m incredibly lucky to have mine. 🤍

Ten years ago, I showed up here on Instagram because I cared deeply about helping my family live healthier, more intentional lives. I hoped that by sharing my own journey, I could help other people like me… people who cared deeply too, but didn’t quite know where to start.

So much has changed since then. Life has stretched me, surprised me, and shaped me in ways I never could have imagined. But a few things have never changed: my love for my family and for helping others.

I’ve spent years trying to learn, share, advocate, and make better choices for my children and our home. And my greatest hope is that somewhere along the way, something I shared helped you too - whether through a small change, a new perspective, or simply helping you feel a little less alone.

More than anything, I hope the things I’ve learned and shared over the years continue to ripple outward - in my own children, in your families, and in the small everyday meaningful choices that shape a life.

Thank you for being here. Truly.

From your first day to your last at you have led with kindness, generosity & heart. That spirit transformed your experience and our family in ways I can’t put into words.
I know you will continue to light the way wherever life takes you, not only for yourself, but for everyone lucky enough to know you. You are everything a parent could hope and pray for, and so much more.
Endlessly proud to call you my daughter. 🤍

When they ask, “What’s your favorite subject?”
and a child says recess… we laugh.

But really? They’re onto something.

Recess isn’t just a break -
it’s movement, sunlight, creativity without instruction,
connection without pressure, a nervous system reset in real time.

The things we spend adulthood trying to optimize…
kids just do naturally.

We build entire wellness routines around what recess gives freely.

I don’t ever want to outgrow recess.

It’s been just shy of a year since I brought home my sourdough starter.
Every week since, no matter how chaotic life feels, I come back to the counter. Hands in dough.

Bread doesn’t care about my to-do list.
It won’t rise faster because I’m in a hurry.
It responds to time, attention, and patience.

The other day, after a completely frenetic afternoon, I walked in with a hundred things to do. Instead of tackling any of them, I reached for my starter.

As I’ve been shaping dough, the last few years have been shaping me.

I’ve realized I don’t want a life that proves I was busy.
I want one that proves I was present.

Sourdough helps.

I always make two loaves, one to keep and one to share.
Love multiplies when you pass it on.

Turns out, bread has been teaching me many important lessons.
And I’m still learning.

Who wants a starter? 🤍
