( Trusting your coach )
This is the product of TRUSTING YOUR COACH AND TRUSTING THE PROCESS. This is what happens when you’re willing to spend time in a calorie surplus, building quality muscle tissue, and then bring the body fat back down to reveal a better physique year after year.
The crazy part is that Drae is now roughly 15 lbs heavier than he was at the end of his first cut about 3 years ago, while still carrying that lean, aesthetic look.
That doesn’t happen by accident. That’s YEARS of grit, sacrifice, consistency, discipline, and determination. Staying on his macros, no drinking, training when he didn’t feel like it, and staying locked in through holidays, vacations, and everything else life throws at you.
WHAT DID WE DO? 🔱
First, I examined Drae’s body composition from his previous cut to determine exactly where we needed to go next. From there, we implemented a 5½ to 6-month lean bulk, gradually building him all the way up to 237 lbs. One thing Drae does extremely well is staying disciplined during his building phases. Even at the peak of his lean bulk, he never allowed himself to get completely out of shape and continued keeping his abs crispy.
From there, we transitioned directly into our 3rd shred together. We strategically recalibrated his carbs based on his training demands, incorporated several refeeds throughout the process, and started with five training days per week. For the final 6½ weeks, we increased his training frequency to six days per week and continued tightening everything as his body responded.
( Day 1 - 3 years later )
Later this week, I’ll be taking you through Drae’s entire three-year journey with me, from our official Day 1 to where he is today. I’ll break down each phase in detail, including the lean bulks, shreds, maintenance phases, nutritional adjustments, and training progressions that allowed us to continuously build and improve his physique year after year.
